I'd definitely like to go. I played varsity baseball in HS and I've really been itching to play some baseball or softball.. It's been a few years but i'm sure my power stroke will still be there. I live in the Clear Lake area and i'll be glad to bring some food or drinks.
It's 30 to 40 percent at best and any rainfall will likely be of the light rain/drizzle variety. The cold might be a factor, but it's not going to be a rainout I don't think.
I'm thinking about picking a obscure moniker, then showing up saying I'm that guy while being as obnoxious as possible.
not like I need it or anything....but Isnt it past time for someone to post directions for those of us who havent been out to League City? or did I miss the post with the map/directions? I really hope the day activities dont fall through since it isnt very likely I can make the BW3 thing.
Directions to the baseball fields are in the first post of this thread. Also, it looks like it's going to be pretty close to freezing Sunday... high 35, low 33, with drizzle... if it goes down a couple more degrees, anyone up for some ice softball? http://www.khou.com/weather/
No thanks. I'm all for getting together. But playing softball in the rain at 40 degrees? No thanks. Is there an alternate plan?
IN honor of the Texas Lebowski Fest, we could run into Clear Lake and bowl at Alpha. We can drink beer and throw 16 lb balls at defenseless white pins...Indoors.
Bowling is a great option. Let's still plan on meeting at my house at noon if the weather is bad, then make a decision. We can eat first (briskets are cooking right now!) To get to my house, follow the directions to the baseball fields, then look for the signs. My house is less than a quarter mile away, and the signs will be out there and clear.
