The same as in 15 yds per point. It can be 1 point every three receptions, or some such number. Edit: Just for grins, I applied a point per reception to last year's totals. Other than Marvin Harrison, no reciever outscored the top RB, much less the top QB. Basically, it made recievers and RB's even. Check out the stats link to see how this affected WR scores. I have to go somewhere, when I get back I'll do the no points per reception and 1 point per 10 yds and see how they compare.
I like this, or 1 point for every 2 receptions. 1 point for every receptioin inflates wrs a little too much imo. for defense I'd like to try 1 DL, 1LB, 1DB, 1 flex this year.
So the stats link on the website is dynamic? (ie: you plug in the scoring system and the statistics page automatically updates last year's player point totals based on this year's new scoring system?) If so, then that's pretty darn cool.
Ok, the stats page now reflects WR's with 1 point every 10 yds, and no reception points. Now they are slightly less valuable than RB's but close. I think this is the way to go.
1 point for 10 yards seems fair. I'm in support of any defense that requires a DL, LB, and DB. It doesn't bother me if it's 3 or 4, but it would be a lot more of a challenge than it is to get flex players, where you just go out and find some linebackers who'll get a lot of tackles. I like having to have someone at each position defensively.
Quick preferences, I'd like the bonus system to have a more weighted tier...as in a low bonus for a 300 yd. passing outing, but much more for 400 yd and 500 yds respectively...it's a huge outing if somebody throws for 400+ and should be rewarded accordingly (i.e. much like a shutout in baseball which is 5 or 10 pts) Similiarly, I think a 150 yd rushing day may be deserving of a few bonus points but if an RB passes the 200+ threshold I think the bonus points should be much greater. Obviously I'd advocate similiar bonuses for receivers who get over 150+ yds. and 50+ yd. field goals for kickers. The half a point for assists on defense also sounded like a solid suggestion. Also, I don't know if it's been decided, but I'd like to draft on the week site, so it can be change to auto much like our past drafts on sandbox. That way others don't have to wait forever to draft if somebody is held up. I don't remember ever running thru my entire automated list. Other then that I don't see any other detriments to conducting it on the site. So that my 2 cents
yes, very good point. If there is an auto and pre-rankings, then I think we should do it on the website to help speed up the draft a lil.
There is an auto draft available. Like I said earlier, ranking can be done two fold....rank players by position, AND rank preference of which position to pick next.
Can someone tell me how many players we're starting at each position during a game? I looked on the web page Behad put up, but it says stuff like 1 starter for RB, WR, etc. Or are you guys still deciding that? BTW, the scoring is getting to be like "if your brother's name is AL and he has a dog and you score a touchdown, you get 3 pts, otherwise you get 1".
1 QB 1 RB 1 WR 1 TE 1 K 3 UT (RB, WR, or TE) Defense is not decided. Do you want a) 3 DP = defensive player (DL, LB, or DB) b) 4 DP c) 1 DL, 1 LB, 1 DB, 1 DP(DL, LB, or DB) d) other
Hey, I'm not even on drugs at the moment. The only thing I took so far was flexeril for the back muscle pain/spasms. Trying to stay away from the vicodin. ** EDIT ** : nevermind.
BTW, Dod, you need to put a user ID on your "Edit Team Info" page. Later on, when you try to do trades or add/waives, it won't allow you unless you have a user ID specified.
I hated the flexeril, put me to sleep too quick. Try some Soma's, they'll really get you feeling good.
