    I asked Fanstar about the IR list. A player must be listed on the NFL's official injury list that is put out every Thursday. However, all they have to be is listed, meaning any designation - Probable, Questionable, Doubtful, or Out - is eligible to be placed on your IR for the week.

    Once on your IR, they can stay there as long as you like.

    Edit: On the main league page, there is a link called "Injuries", click on that, then choose an NFL team to check the list. Please note....it is not updated yet, so don't be alarmed. Brian Greise is still listed as Questionable on Denver's list.
