    PLAYING WITH TECHNOLOGY

This is the fumble by the Texans on the kickoff earlier. This is not a screenshot. I was changing the batteries on my digital camera and took a picture of the game showing on my computer. Notice my pointer in the lower right hand corner.

Alright guys, I'm out of commission until about 10-10:30pm. I'll try checking in as usual, but I'm guessing we'll be held up somewhere per tradition.

115 picks, since 10:32 pm on 8-5-03, equals 2.06 hours per pick. At this rate, we will complete this draft 11.76 days from now, or about 3pm on August 27th.

    Wimp.

6 weeks after my back surgery, and 4 weeks afetr my neck surgery, I went to Adventure Island Water Park in Tampa.

My wife just about killed me trying to stop me from going on the rides, but I did.

I'm hoping to get back to work in a couple of weeks. I feel like I could go now...

Hey did you ever have numbness or tingling in your leg? Did that go away after the surgery?

No I didn't...once the pain left, I was in the best shape I felt in years.

The doc did ask this question a lot, however...I just never felt that.

Yeah, the doc told me the numbness/tingling could be around for months because the nerve is fooled into thinking it's still being slammed up against by the herniated disc. He told me the pain would go away immediately, tho' and it did. Now I need to get the strength in my left leg back up once I get healthy... the numbness/tingling isn't too great, so I can live with that if need be. I'm just glad that infernal pain is gone... yeesh.

Sorry for taking so long but I was with relatives.

Okay, I am going to be the first to do this, but I will take a PK and I pick David Akers .

Man, that Mavericks trade is unreal... they just blew the lid off the Midwest and the Western Conference...

Phi's list dictates that Adam Archuleta (DB) be selected.

    moe is next.

I recently received word that I get the #1 pick in our company's fantasy football league. I don't want it. This is one of the worst years to have a #1 pick.

That being said, if you had the #1 pick who would be your #1 pick?

I'm scared to take Priest Holmes, James, or Faulk. I'm leaning towards Tomlinson or maybe Ricky Williams.

    ** EDIT ** : Here's the scoring :

Passing Yards (30 yards per point)
    Passing Touchdowns (6)
    Interceptions (-2)
Rushing Yards (20 yards per point)
    Rushing Touchdowns (6)
Reception Yards (20 yards per point)
    Reception Touchdowns (6)
Return Yards (20 yards per point)
    Return Touchdowns (6)
    2 Point Conversions (2)
    Fumbles (-1)
    Fumbles Lost (-2)

ah it's just the regular old hot texas weather right now. It's not supposed to reach here until 4 or so I think. I'm just playing a lil NCAA footy right now before I go to bed.

You should be locking some of those ****ty threads.

As someone who recently had that same dilemma, I'd advise Williams. Look at the game by game stats. As great as Williams was last season, he would've been even better had he not had a stretch of four consecutive games where he averaged about 3.3 YPC.

The QB during that stretch? Ray Lucas. I think most everyone remembers how horrid he was. :) When the Dolphins had Fiedler and had any resemblance of a passing threat, Ricky was averaging over 5 YPC.

And the way I figure it, even if Fiedler gets hurt again, Brian Griese is a whole lot better than Ray Lucas. I don't think you could go wrong with either him or LT, but if you look at Ricky's numbers when Lucas wasn't in the lineup, they are all the more remarkable.
