What do you mean, if they just give the ball to Yao every possession, they will be 82 and O. Who cares if this group is in its first year playing together, and everyone's role has changed, that has nothing to do with the Rockets' inconsistency, its just low Bball IQ, we should still go to the Finals.
Pgabrial, You have failed to address any of the points in the thread that I brought up, you consistently use excuses for the team not playing well. Yet, all you do is apologize for a player who has not made the necessary transition for the good of the team. Passing it in to the POST, Yao, Mo..whomever....on EVERY possession is EXACTLY what this team needs to do. Since it is clear that our PG can not make good decisions, and our SG is even worse at decision making. You bet, pass it to Yao and Mo T....let them make the call on whom is open and should get the shot. At least then the Rockets will have wide open shots. I am beginning to think that you don't understand a thing about the game of basketball...especially TEAM ORIENTED basketball....or as most people call it...WINNING BASKETBALL. DD
What do you mean, I just addressed the problems by saying the team is adjusting to their new roles, and Steve is adjusting to his new role specifically, THAT'S NOT AN EXCUSE, IT'S A FACT. And the only consistent thing in this forum is you COMPLAINING ABOUT THE GUARDS. There are currently three threads that you started about your complaints, now thats consistentcy.
Yes, I concede he is adjusting, what I don't concede is that he is trying to adjust HARD ENOUGH !!! Actions speak louder then words, and our guards talk a good game but they don't play a good game. Winning basketball is accomplished through playing as a team and exploiting mismatches. Where is our biggest mismatch, night in and night out? Our big 7'6" center. Yes they are adjusting, however, both Steve and Cat have played with Dream in a similar offense, it does not take that long to recall how to make a post entry pass, nor does it take long to learn how to PASS the DARNED ball on a pick and roll. Neither of them do it....NEVER...and I mean NEVER You are simply ignoring the lack of progress and pointing out that SEE...Steve scores and rebounds...... It is all about wins and loses...period....and it is much easier to win when you play through the big man. DD
I guess Parker is a better point guard than Jason Kidd now, because the Spurs beat the Nets and he outscored Kidd.
No, but he outplayed Kidd in that game, Parker is coming of age, can you say the same about our guards? How old is Tony Parker anyway? 20.....and how old are our young guards. Case closed. DD
