A late great acquaintance of mine, via a former girlfriend. Met him a few times and hung out with him. Nice, nice guy....with a bad bad drug problem. IMHO, the RHCPs would have been absolutely 100% legendary had he lived. He gave them the funk in a major way.
No, it was a band called Driving and Crying, I believe. RMTex, that must have been amazing. From what I understand, Anthony Flea and Hillel had been friends since jr high and were really close. They haven't been the same since he died.
