let me ask everyone a question..

do we have pretty good talent on this team?

I think we do.. we have an All Star Caliber PG who is playing below his means right now adjusting to a new system and new coach. The next best thing in Yao Ming who is still adjusting to double teams and becoming the focal point of the offense. IMO once he quits hesitating while making decisions and flows more comfortably in the system he and SF will become a great tandem. Cat is having a career year shooting and his defense has kicked up a notch. Cato and MoT provide a great 1 / 2 punch in the PF position shaking things up.. I wish I could squish them together and make one awesome PF! haha Our other role players are fine.. Pike/ Boki/ Padgett/ JJ I mention JJ here because he is more of a bench/role player than a starter but we cant honestly expect to be stacked in every position. We have the personnel..

    Now what is our problems?

    passing?
    shooting?
    turnovers?
    decision making?

These are all things that can be worked on.. once we trust each other more and learn to make better decisions. Look at the play of Jwill in Memphis.. he was a turnover machine but look how much better he has become this year at least in the assist/ turnover dept.

As of today we are 5th in the Midwest (the toughest division) have an NBA leading defense in terms of FG% and PPG.. (pretty much)

Everyone knows we havent gel'd yet and the chemistry is quite not there.. but what do you think this team will be like once we are? I get frustrated watching this team sometimes ok alot of times. But I get comfort in knowing we are beating the teams we should beat (usually) and losing to the better teams. Im still waiting to upset some WC powerhouses (maybe the Lakers?) but all in all not in too bad a position.

True were in 5th place in the tough Midwest.. but you could also say were only 2.5 games back behind 1st!

    J

Go Yao! Go Rox! Go Super Duper Backup Bench Brigade! (like my nickname for the bench? I should submit it to Mocchie as an idea)
