Slim Digital Cameras Sony vs. Canon

    well i guess it is 11 cents cheaper but the newegg one comes with a free 1 gig card.

    unless im not seeing something here.

    How many of you have experience with higher-end digital point-and-shoots? My compact Canon is better than my compact Olympus was, but I can't say that it's good. I'm looking at several, and I'm having a hard time deciding. I'd like a camera with good zoom that takes good photos at dawn and dusk. I really don't want spend the money on a DSLR, because all my lenses from film days are manual, and I'd want to replace them all. That's more money than I want to commit right now.

    The models I'm looking at are:

    Fuji S9000

    Fuji S8000fd

    Canon S3 IS (Reviewers all prefer it to the newer S5)

    Others? I've looked at some Panasonics that are intriguing, but I don't know anything about them.

    yeah i get everything your saying. but after having a couple of slr cameras with different lenses. i wanted something that was ultra portable for when i go to europe this next summer.

    so a combo of smallest/best camera i could get.
