In his prime mcgrady was which i think was 02-04.

But why choose mcgrady over such a short prime?

    Clyde > Mcgrady

Yep. I didn't even factor in the fact that Clyde is a complete douchebag into my picking McGrady over him.

From his $H!t eating grin following his 0/10 performance after our game 5 elimination in '98, to his lockerroom lawyering stunts against Charles, to his completely reprehensible handling of the UH position, Clyde's not exactly the greatest guy alive. That and the fact that he is virtually incoherent and has trouble putting together an original thought on air, but I won't hold his lack of intelligence against him as Tracy doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed himself.

Agreed that was basically my thinking but 04 was a bad year for Tmac, he was pretty much robbed of his prime years but his peak years throughout his career were amazing. And even without all his talents at his disposal hes still been a very effective player. Maybe not Drexler like but its not such a ridiculous comparison.

I still remember that game, he frustrated me that he kept making so many bad decisions. The year before in game 6 of the WCF, he took the potential game winner way too early and gave Stockton 3 seconds to hit that stupid shot. I also hate his sniping at Barkley. I still liked Clyde overall, but I would pick McGrady as being the better all around player.

This was my point earlier. Had Clyde played in todays game he would still be dominate. Even more so than in his own era. You cant say the same about TMac playing in Clydes era.

Look at what they achieved in their careers.....

I cant even believe anyone would even think that McGrady was anywhere near Clyde.

Clyde didnt just put up pretty numbers, he was a great player that was a winner. He led teams of his own to the finals and through his entire career any team he was on was a good side that way hard to beat.

I really dont thing its even close. This to me is like asking who is better, Michael Jordan or Vince Carter. Ones a great player, the other just pretends to be one.
