NBA ready body, 7-1 wingspan, mentally tough (ex military dad), I like. What I really like is that he decided not to enter the draft his sophomore year and stayed to improve his game. You can't teach that. Players who have a strong work self starting work ethic and are constantly try to add on to their game each year become very solid or special. As much as I like him, this guy has a better frame and I hope he can work as hard as Landry did.
i'm trying to keep down my expectations/hopes for Pat, but it isnt easy. I can't wait to see what he does
I dunno. Morey keeps saying that Patterson was ranked 6th on their draft board. If that is the case, he either got real lazy and didn't do a lot of scouting or he got one F'd up draft board. I really like Patterson as a player but he was not the 6th best player in the draft.
Patterson is going to make a quick impact on this team -- I can't wait to see him play against NBA talent next season.
I do you one better. I'll give you my top 10 ranking. If I had to finish it I would put him either 12 or 13. 1. John Wall 2.DeMarcus Cousins 3. Evan Turner 4. Derrick Favors 5. Wesley Johnson 6. Greg Monroe 7. Al-Farouq Aminu 8. Paul George 9. Cole Aldrich 10. James Anderson
Now not get me wrong I like the Patterson pick, but if Cole Alrich was still on the board and we passed him up for Patterson, then not so much.
That's a stupid comparison. Kenny was never a lottery pick by the Rockets and his ceiling was never as high as Patrick's. Please don't post anymore.
Stop sounding like a damn Homer. The fact is that Amare won the Rookie of the Year Awards. The odds that PP wins this award are astronomical.
