Seems the Straight Shooter doesn't agree with Tenet.

Yet McCain said the U.S. cannot torture people and maintain its moral superiority in the world. "I don't care what George Tenet says. I know what's right. I know what's morally right as far as America's behavior," the presidential candidate and former prisoner-of-war said Sunday.

McCain said he does not accept Tenet's premise that the CIA's practices save lives because torture and mistreatment historically have not worked in intelligence collection. "We've gotten a huge amount of misinformation as well as other information from these techniques," McCain said.

Tenet and the CIA deny using torture. But McCain's words suggest he believes the CIA's practices amounted to torture and were wrong.

He hasn't had a chance this entire campaign. He won't win a single primary.

I dont even think he's the "leading candidate." The guy's all over the place and managed to alienate everyone. His 2000 campaign was a big f-ck you to the right wing of the Republican party, while this campaign has managed to alienate all the moderates and conservative democrats who used to support him.

McCain's dead in the water. No one likes him anymore.

[DISCLAIMER] I find this hard to believe. But if it's true...WOW!!!!

    From Josh --

Former CIA analyst Ray McGovern went on Tucker Carlson's show this afternoon and pretty directly accused Vice President Dick Cheney of being behind the Niger forgeries. The reasons for suspicion are plenty. But having reported on this story in minute detail I've yet to find any direct evidence to substantiate that charge. But McGovern says he has evidence ...

He's the "leading candidate", but he won't stand a chance once the debates start and the campaign gets hot and heavy. My money's on Romney, but I don't much match the average Republican primary voter.

He will say anything as he gets more desperate.

Too bad he won't get the nomination.

He would be so easy to beat.

I think Romney might very well win. I assume he will try to distance himself from that loser of a war. I don't think it will help too much.

The Mormon thing could derail folks from the important issue of war and the GOP screwing up the country. Nevertheless an interesting thing. He is handsome., which is good for I would estimate 25% of the swing voters. He has Giuliani and McCain beat there.

Of course, so are Edwards and Obama.

At 71, there's plenty of reasons for that to make sense.
