Because like with CNN/Fox talking head political debate shows, they need an idiot to be on the unpopular side of an opinion in order to create an emotional argument. All of these sports debate shows follow this formula now and need a SAS type (Broussard is a broke mans version) to drive a debate. People that all sit around a table and agree with consensus wouldn’t make for much drama.

How dumb is Chriss Broussard? In denying Harden the vote, his case is built on EXACTLY why Harden should get it.

The two exceptions to the "best player on best team" pattern are '88 Jordan and '17 Westbrook. Those 2 seasons and Harden's current season have EVERYTHING in common and Harden is outplaying both of those 2 seasons.

Giannis doesn't have a sidekick as good as Paul, but he plays in the East. If sidekicks take away votes, so does conference imo even though the top 4 in the East are solid this year.
