Thank you Rafer, you earned your reputation here and we wish you the best! I still remember your first assist to Yao, it was a bounce pass.
I love and thank for everything Rafer has done for this franchise, Although he has many bad moments as a Rockets. He still has had good moments. Hopefully he will leave the Magic next year, he should be working for the real best center in Yao Ming not Dwight Howard
rafer will be a much better fit in orlando where dwight howard isnt a guy you just dump it down to. he'll make everyone on the magic better.
Rafer, I know when you were here you gave it everything you had on the court. I appreciate your leadership, your toughness and your attitude on the court. Thank you for your services here, I wish you the best of luck in Orlando.
Great video. You will be missed, Rafer! You were a large part of the 22 win streak----- THANK YOU! May you have much success than in your years as a Rocket! We're gonna miss you Skip.
Rafer, rafer... besides his outside stories, besides all his bricks... here is a true professional and great team player. Some of us will miss you Mr. Alston, thanks for everything, I wish you can come back some day. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yi2KxArfi-E&hl=es&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yi2KxArfi-E&hl=es&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I won't judge whether this trade is a bust until I see Lowry and Cook plays. But I have to say I am very disappointed. Rafer is doing just fine without TMac. I appreciate what he did for the rockets and I am gonna miss him. On the other hand, Lowry is just 22 and athletically gifted. Hopefully Adelman will work wonders with Brooks and Lowry and I am glad that Artest is still in Rockets uniform.
I wonder if Rafer is going to air out some dirty laundry. I doubt he saw this trade coming ... or maybe he did.
I gotta say i really did like Rafer. He is a true competitor like few other players in this Rockets team. He always one his position the hard way, even when the odds where against him, he fought and won his position. MUch props and respects to Rafer, and have a rest of career.
This reminds of a scene in a movie...sorry don't remember the name of the movie, where everyone spills their guts thinking the plane is going to crash only to realize that they survive, but know each other soo much more... for better or worse...
Not an elite or consistent shooter but definitely a Great passer, ball handler, decent defender, passionate, and team player. I thought we had much better chance to advance past Utah last year if he was healthy during the playoffs. In previous years when Alston was out, the team was discombobulated which goes to show how much Brooks has progressed since last year. We'll see if Lowry is as good as Morey says he is and at least Rafer joins a very good team...
