I personally am not a big fan of this trade at this point of our season but best of luck to Rafer in Orlando, I hope to see him do big things and lead Orlando to a Eastern Conference Final.
Wow, I am shoked at the love for Rafer. He's a good guy and plays hard but on the court he was frustrating as hell to watch b/c the only consistency about his play (besides low TO's) was his below average shooting. I wish him well but am not sad to see him leave. Go Rockets!
Thanks for being the consummate professional. If our O was run through you the way it should have, you would have been more appreciated.
I thought skip has really helped out this organization, especially w/ the development of brooks. Sad to see him go, but if it is best for our future I have to support it. *cross fingers*
I was always a fan, though he did piss me off at times. Wish him the best in Orlando. I'll be rooting for you, Skip.
Skip was never the problem of this team, he is just a role player, although an important one. With Yao in the lineup, this team especially need someone like Alston who can control the pace, get players into position. Our problem is the 4 & 5 spots, where we cannot guard any team, with Yao being too slow, and all other guys are too short. The Magic probably will make the conference final, so Skip is better off to play for the winner. On the other hand, the Rockets is officially in rebuilding stage, more likely will miss the playoff for the next couple of years, start from this season.
He was an offensive liability, but outside of that, I liked his game. He took good care of the ball, which is the #1 thing you need a PG to do. Best of luck, Rafer.
Agreed with your first paragraph but not second. If Alston would have decreased his number of missed/bad shots and worked on his floater and jumpshot, he would still be here. Magic remain the #3 team in the East, depends on if they can beat Lebron or Pierce in the playoffs, possible if their 3's are falling. Don't think or believe the Rockets are rebuilding, I was surprised by the trade but AB and Lowry will get the job done, have faith in your team and DM, they want what's best too. They'll make the playoffs, we just don't need any more injuries. Good Luck in Orlando, Rafer, Wish You Well. Go Rockets!!!
He was a true floor general, a streetball legend, and the heart of this team. He stood up for everyone in conflict. I'm sad he's not on the team anymore, but I'm glad he went to a better team. He's gonna shine in Orlando.
