I'm happy Rafer will be able to get past the 1st round this year. His ex-teammates will most likely be watching him on their sofas.
I admit I got unhappy and angry at Rafer's poor shooting and finishing, but honestly I did appreciate some things about him. His low turnover/ratio and underrated defense stood out.He wasn't a great passer by any means, but at times he ran the pick and role nicely and managed to control the tempo well. I'm kind of missing the guy right now. I wish him well with the Magic. Hope Lowry can do better.
Yes, respect to the man. He's been walking in the League for years and I guess he really feels like home in Rockets. Sadly, people come and go, it's business. We will miss you as our Rockets No.12, the man with passion. Wish you the best, man. And there's one more thing i've got to say, you are so much better than Tmac!
Lost it when NBA had YouTube cancel my account ... but I just re-posted it. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zylBl6Upzkc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zylBl6Upzkc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
you know what. i always hated rafer, but last year when it seemed like the rockets were doing everything to run him out of town by bringing brooks, francis and mike james, he fought his for his job. he really earned my respect since then on. he has his shortcomings, but the guy has heart, hes tough as nails. its not easy being everyones whipping boy and still managing to shut up the doubters time after time. we'll miss you rafer, you have a fight that few players (mcgrady, francis) have.
Definitely agree. He always brought intensity and effort and we can't fault him for that. I feel sad that he's gone, kinda like when Stevie was first traded.
i appreciated Rafer. I actually wanted him to stay here and didn't picture him of all players leaving. I even got my intramural jersey # as 12 for him (though i think all the other numbers were mostly taken haha). i loved his durability and his steadiness with the handle and the fact that we had the best streetballer in the world on our team ... peace rafer, i'll miss ya man.
