Ya for those of you who don't know these videos are sort of old right now. Hes in much better shape now. Look for him to possibly be ready. But I really hope he doesnt rush things and comes back 100%.
You can view the video. All's you have to do is create a login account, then log in, and then click on the link from here and it should work.
He looks better, better and better every single video. Looks like he has no pain in that knee and he is doing really fine. We will see, it seems like he can dunk with no problems now, even off of his left leg. He still has some time, he can take the preseason off to still work out and that's probably what he should do. Than come bac k for the final game just to see how you feel on the real NBA level.
That Power Slide excercise looks awesome, good for working on defensive stance/moving without the ball. Wish I had that thing at my gym
This is not intended to bash McGrady, but in these videos why is there no footage of him playing defence? There's footage of him working out and shooting off screens, pull ups etc etc.. but there is no footage on him working on his defence to see if his knee can allow him to move laterally quick enough. I mean the shooting his doing in these videos i'm pretty sure he could have done last year before micro-fracture.
OMG!! Look at the momentum he is using to help him lift the weights!!! It's going to ruin his whole career!!!!! Actually, he looked good. Intensity looked like it was coming from within instead of because he had a trainer on his a$$. I'm ready to see more basketball stuff but I think the guy might do well this season. I still think he will miss 15 games or more but this team is so short on talent I'll take 75% McGrady or whoever they trade him for and be happy.
Grover said somethinng before about, if tmac can withstand the exercises and routines they put him through, then they'll know he can perform on the court as well....so i think they rather do suffling drills while training (for example, Grover uses a body slide tool in his gym) than doing it on court.
just saw the vid.....i cant expess enough how big of a change this is going to be for tmac....i saw a lot of good things in that vid, love the exercises he's doing, and he looks pretty chiseled now, not Mr olympia, but tmac has always either been stick thin or had this skinny fat look to him. I can't wait for to see him come out and play...
oh yea, anoher reason why he's working on his shooting so much is to keep his shooting touch and make any tweaks that are necessary. Balancing out his muscles will affect his shot, maybe just a bit, maybe more, and he's got to stay on top of that now so its not ****ty on opening day.
has anyone thought that the trainers might just be saying things like "he's going to be a beast again" for a part of the rehab? I mean mentally t-mac is weak, maybe they just start to say garbage like that so they can at least get him a little bit confident. As much as I want him to succeed I can just see so many reasons why he won't as opposed to a couple reasons why he could. Sure we see him doing the workouts but how do we know if he's doing them well? can we see how d-wade handled the same workouts a year ago? and how easy he probably made them look?
Check this out another complaint from Tracy.sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ys-nbarims110608 Will he ever blame himself for ANYTHING?
If you're time grover, you dont throw out stuff like that when your rep is on the line. I've been guilty of accusing tmac of having issues with heart and desire, but i'm now experience verys imilar muscular imbalances due to an old injury...and not to say this will give him KG's heart, but when ur mind wants to do something and your body inexplicably doesn't respond, not only will others question you, but you'll question yourself. So i believe it will be easier for tmac to do what he believes he can and what he see in his mind after this. And im not sure what u mean by "doing them well". One thing i can look at, is his push ups. Notice how his toes are bent and his arms are aligned properly as well. Personall, i can't bend my left toes like that when i do push ups right now due to my muscular imbalance, so i'll be right on my toes. Although i dont have a "pre rehab push up" video to compare Tmac's previous form, this current push up form has him looking balanced. And there actually is a video of wade on youtube from last summer. Not the same exact exercises though, but maybe some are similar, but u dont have to compare it to wade to know Tmac is doing them well
Tracy McGrady 1 hour and 59 mins ago I will be back with my teammates on the 28th, I will be posting a video blog for y'all from camp here on skillzlab so check it out. posted under the video.......seems t-mac will be fit for training camp
my bad but everything apoints to him being ready for camp, thats great news for houston, we need the offence...
Tracy McGrady 2 hours and 6 mins ago i love the week 7 video but it is just the tip of the iceberg. I have a lot of video to cut from my trip to China, I just shot 10 basketball skillz videos on Monday that we will publish to my lab over then next 10 weeks while I am in camp and I have 3 more Road to Recovery videos to post as well. I will also be doing a daily video blog from Rockets camp in Dallas like the one I did while I was in China so you guys have a lot of content to look forward to. Get your popcorn ready the season is almost here. T-Mac well another mini update on that site.
So there's a good chance that he will start the season now. I hope he doesn't rush into it. However, if he is ready then he is ready. Let's Go!
