Last Cinco de Mayo, I saw a guy wearing a sombrero and poncho, walking to his car from the Mexican restaurant down the street. I felt so embarrassed for him.

I'm not Mexican, but I can somewhat relate to this thread as I have been often harassed for wearing these at the clubs.

 

There once was a Persian who opened a bar in midtown.... no blacks allowed.

 

I thought this was a Baja and a poncho didn't have sleeves. I remember being in Sunday chapel one time in Third Form, the headmaster's wife was wearing one and I joked to one of my classmates that we had to wear suits while she could just put on a blanket.
