Oh, yeah, right. Thanks. But I don't see the Knicks trading away Gallinari, who they absolutely love. To get him (based on how the Knicks feel about him, not necessarily his objective value), the Rockets would probably need to take back Eddy Curry.

lol if italian wine implies italian player then wat does ribeye imply? a shot to the ribs??? oo I think Rudy Fernandez hurt his ribs when Ariza blasted him onto the floor during a attempted fast break dunk LA vs POR

I know you weren't asking me, but I'm bored...

Off the top of my head, he can't be traded after the deadline, but he can still be S&T'd next summer, right?

Yes, but what would be the benefit of his contract at that point? Sure, he could recover and be a good player again, but I think Doc was talking about the ever-increasing value of T-Mac's expiring contract.

I think thacabbage's interpretation (that the Rockets could trade T-Mac at the February trade deadline for a package involving a lottery pick) is probably closer to the truth. Either that or Doc just had a brain fart.

Why does the entire league and all the so called "experts" and some self proclaimed "experts" on this board think we should just "give" TMac away for others' garbage?

    Robin Lopez (Ribeye)
    Leandro Barbosa (side dish)
    Amare Stoudemire (faux Italian name)

Draft picks (coupon for future dinner)

I agree with you. Tmac's expiring is valuable, but not that valuable.

Even with that, SD??!!! He is not worth that kind of money, especiall with two more years to go on the contract. I say keep tmac's contract until all star weekend when teams are desperate or decided that the season will have no hope, by then, we might have a higher chance of getting a legit player in return

The first couple of articles are the same old same old Sixers talk about Iggy and Young. The two play the same role/position, their great debate is whether to trade one of them.

Free agency for the Sixers has been uneventful. They added Holiday in the draft who might not contribute straight away.

Would Stefanski offer more than just Dalembert this time around?

    Williams, Holiday, Ivey
    Iguodala, Green
    Young, Kapono, Carney
    Brand, Speights, Brezec
    Dalembert, Smith

    McGrady + Hayes + Cook → Iguodala + Dalembert
*Rockets reduce team salary by $4,265,180
*Philly currently under LT by around $6.5M

    Brooks, Lowry, (Barry)
    Iguodala, Budinger, Taylor
    Ariza, Battier, Barry
    Scola, Landry, Dorsey, Pops
    Andersen, Dalembert, Yao

    Williams, Holiday, Ivey
    McGrady, Green
    Young, Kapono, Carney
    Brand, Hayes, Cook
    Speights, Smith, Brezec

Rockets can get under LT by trading Barry to an under the cap team at the trade deadline.

There is no way the Sixers will be willing to trade Iggy just to get rid of Dalembert. You might get Lou Williams, but that's it.

You would probably have to do McGrady + Landry or Battier to get it done. Iggy is a prize.

I like it, but would be amazed...

I bet they would not mind having AB0 at PG as well...

What a joke. It's too ridiculous to even bother discussing.

if this is what teams around the league are offering for mcgrady then we might as well just keep him, there's only one year left in his contract anyways. We need all the empty cap space we can for the 2010 sweepstakes and trading for Dalembert/other players with similar albatross contracts will impede that.

Even if we dont land anyone in 2010, it'd be nice to enter rebuild mode and move away from the failed T-mac/Yao 'era'. Let our young guys develop and obtain some high draft picks.

Crazy. If Philly wants to dump Dalembert, they are going to have to include their 2010 first rounder unprotected, especially if they want an expiring contract.

I still like the trade. At least with AI you know you will get points and defense.

I love Iggy...look at those clutch shots he made in the playoffs...he fits perfectly as the young borderline all star that Morey describes that was posted here..can't remeber the thread...but still, a pipe dream.

I wouldn't do it. Dalembert and AI are both overpaid IMO. This is a move that would not help us win a championship, and it would kill our financial flexibility. I'd rather take my chances on McGrady helping us win this year.
