I agree with you. Horrible trade for the rockets, great trade for the sixers assuming Tmac and Brand comeback from injury.
I'll only take this trade with yound or 2 future first rounders included. Then again, it would be even better if it is a 3 way trade as there's isn't much for the sixers to offer us. They are on the way up, would their first rounders be worth much? I don't htink they are going to be in the lottery in the xoming seasons unless they can't find a servicable center.
If these continue to be the type of crummy offers that Morey is offered for Tracy, it's a far smarter move to keep him and let the contract expire.
Much as I've tired of T-Mac, I agree with those saying keep him and let his contract expire. Who knows, maybe he'll be motivated this year. Maybe he'll turn into T-Mac. If not, maybe he'll turn into Bosh.
The scrub offers are appearing in the press because they're just floating around out there. Tracy McGrady's contract becomes more valuable by the day. Literally, everyday that passes his contract gains value. These other teams already realize that in order to GET that expiring money, they're going to have to take a hit for it. You can trade Dalembert but you MUST take the hit of Young or Iguodala. By trade deadline, it'll be a frenzy. By next summer's NBA DRAFT, it could be the biggest jackpot opportunity that the Rockets have had since 2002. Patience for the perfect deal is a difficult thing when you're starving and someone's holding a bologna sandwich...but patience will get you a ribeye, a nice side-dish and an vintage glass of Italian wine. Plus, you might even get a coupon or two for a 'future dinner.'
Haha dude are you posting this on every single trade rumor forum regardless of the actual trade going down? I sware I have seen this like 50 times haha
Is anyone else besides me not all 100% giddy and committed to the Chris Bosh dream? I want D-Wade. Forget the "Ru-Paul of Big Men."
Very very true. What also happens is by the trade deadline you get a "healthy" Tmac back as well. Tracy can come in, play and maybe push a playoff pretender into contender, then you get his contract off the books. He is a mercenary so to speak. Teams on the bubble would love this deal because it either pushes them to the lottery, or propells them to the playoffs. Essentially its a win in either direction.
You know, I doubt Miami is able to become a contender overnight, like Wade demanded last night....I'd qualify him as a juicy ribeye....
quit trying to move this crybaby for a bag of bones. let him sit out the season, or at least half of it. wait until his expiring contract has more value, or let all that money come of the books and make a serious run at Bosh. T-Mac for AK47 and Dalembert?!?!? Get the heck outta here!!!
Doc, how can T-Mac be traded after the February 2010 trade deadline? His contract is up at the end of the season. I don't think he can be traded at next year's draft, even if his contract is technically not over until July 1, 2010. Okay, Doc . . . so, it's another clue . . . the trade package appears to include a future draft pick . . . "Italian wine" . . . Does this mean that the Rockets will be trading T-Mac to either the Raptors (Bargnani) or the Warriors (Belinelli)? Those are the only two Italian players I can think of off the top of my head. I love and hate your cryptic emails at the same time!
