Throw in two future unprotected Sixers 1st rounders and its a deal.

Only if Andre Miller in a sign and trade is paired with Dalembert. And that's only if we don't get Gortat.

I agree Gortat would be better value.

Very good points all round highlighting Dalembert's shortcomings and financial status. DM should say no to them.

I respect your opinion,Andre Miller is a nice player, but even that isn't worth it IMO. Andre brings a mature professional outlook but Dalembert is the opposite of him, secondly Andre is 33 yrs old. Management should start rebuilding from scratch, unless they score really big in the highly unlikely event of trading Tracy.

15% trade kicker, who writes these contracts?? The NBA ought to standardize these contracts, outlawing gimmicks like these in the next CBA. I agree go for Gortat instead of Dalembert.

everyone is now jumping in after yao's injury annoncement. they are acting like rox were a bunch of idiots.

dalembert is not rox savor. he gives no more than an average center. i can't imagine how morey would accept this trade. the worst case is rox may have a worse season but we will end up with 20 mil under the cap for FA in 2010 after the next season.

if they want the deal done they have to throw in a player under 25 years old.

for them that means: iguodala, young, williams, spieghts, smith.

i think the only guy we have a shot at is smith. i like his upside as a 7 footer with range but his production isnt there yet. i'd take smith and an unprotected first in 2010, or i'd pass.

I feel like Morey has two options...

    1. He can panic and in a rushed mode, Trade Tmac for nothing and we get screwed

    Or

    2. Wait to see if Yao's foot heels. If it is true and that he did take off his boot, he will be fine after healing it and being consistent with what he is suppose to do.

Why rush a trade Morey? I mean your not getting an irresistable deal here.

Man, this looks like one of those random trade ideas someone on clutchfans make up. Seriously, if Dalembert is so hard to unload, why would he be someone the Rockets want?

For me, I'll need at least Young and a 1st rounder(maybe top 3 protected or something) to take Dalembert and potentially another bad contract off their hands.

i think some of you must be forgetting mcgrady is INJURED. You're dreaming if you expect a bosh or Iguodola in return, especially if you want additional players with them. We're not exactly in a position to draw those kinds of offers.
