You shouldn't feel bad for Royce. He was given numerous opportunities and he responded by being a thief in college, a dead beat dad in the NBA, an accused woman beater and egotistic habitual liar. Further I seriously he some day realizes he blew a great opportunity.. Nothing is ever Royce's fault.. In his mind the Rockets and Sixers held him back.

I think Royce was given what should be considered the universally-accepted norm as to what constitutes a fighting chance in ones adult life. His talents should keep him playing a significant role for some Euroleague team for years to come so I think life, in the big picture, will still be considered successful if he can keep drawing a check.

remember the sixers are the worst team in the league, and royce was a first round pick in a stacked draft.

i cheked their roster and they got 21 players, most of the additions gotta be undrafted or taken from dleague/overseas.

thank you sam. it would suck having one of the worst players in the league taking up a roster spot, and 1.7m

Do you really think a team in Europe will put up with that ****, especially from a foreigner? Hell no... He is toast. He isn't going to change.

Has a mid-1st round pick ever gone from draft to out of the league in a span of a year before?

If we're counting "Rockets" then I would put Fisher up there.

King of the Rec Leagues in two years - Royce White.

In a way, I feel bad, but at the same time I don't. Dude had an opportunity most only dream about. He had the opportunity to raise awareness for his cause. In his mind, he probably did. In reality, he squandered all that away due to laziness.

He will still make 7 figures playing in Europe in the future.

And to think, our roster is filled with undrafted/2nd round picks who got overlooked and had to work their asses off to get where they are today, while Royce White doesn't even bother trying and acts like he's entitled to everything.

You are right, he deserves no sympathy. I guess I feel bad for future Royce, but oh well. He's certainly had his chances.

Also he hasn't even logged any NBA minutes!

He can't even play a few minutes in the NBA without nearly fouling out. He can't stay in shape. He can't fly anywhere with the team consistently...which may not be too big of a deal with how small Europe is compared to the US. Bottom line is that even if you think he's a competent college player he still isn't good enough to last in Europe because of his limitations...their standards aren't as low as he is...cmon, be "Realistic". They can cut players and not have to pay them easier than in the US too I believe...

Before he's in prison? Wouldn't surprise me in the least.
