I think the only one that kind of makes sense to me is…

    PHI in: Gordon
SLC in: Thybulle, Korkmaz, Niang, Joe,
HOU in: Bogdanovic & Worse of BRK or PHI 2023 frp via Utah

HOU buy out Bogdanovic and has 3 picks in the 2023 draft.

Not saying those teams are dumb at all.

I'm saying make decision based on the direct evidence (stats, achievements (All Defense Teams), film, rankings, upside projection, etc.) instead of basing decision on circumstantial evidence (aesthetic, assumptions based on what other team not doing, emotion, etc.).

Morey built the Harden era Rockets by doing things that other 28 teams refused to do. Fell just short multiple times for sure but that doesnt mean you throw out baby with bath water.

Elite traits are still elite traits.

And fyi - Rockets would be ecstatic and consider it a success if even ONE of their multitudes of FRP converted into a 2 time All Defensive player in 3 seasons playing less than 5,000 minutes.

Yes, hopefully he can teach our players how to play defense..

but i also think that there’s a little chance to become as great defender as Thybulle.. from what I watched (defensive highlight), he’s got extraordinary talent (beside massive wingspan) which is lightning fast reflex and reaction time on defense that leads to steal/block/deflection..

I agree with you except KJ and maybe Tate (I don't really see why would you mention Boban, as he doesn't impact any of the wing's minutes). I don't really like Tate, it seems like he regressed last year, so perhaps Mattise would be better. But KJ fits this team and he has great chemistry with all our key youngsters. He was the only guy along with Christopher that knew how to cut and play off of Sengun, and seemed to have a great connection with Green. Thybulle is for sure a much better defender, but in the context of this team's play, KJ is better. And even though he's acting up this summer, I would give him a chance before bringing someone else.

    That's what I'm talking about :)
I really, really like this guy, and I see him as our X-factor.

This team is far from being ready to load up on specialists. So the offense is fixed already? SMH.

Splash genuinely wants to be here yet everyone wants to trade one of the few guys who can go get you a bucket. Crazy.

Does he genuinely want to be here enough to accept an end of the bench role where he rarely plays? He's about to be 34....he's not a part of the Rocket's future so him being on the court at all would be nothing more than an impediment to the development of players who might actually be a part of the Rocket's future.

Even if he was, I think it would be more fair to him to let him spend the last few years in the league he has left chasing a ring.

This is a good fair trade. Hope it happens.

The most interesting thing about those stats is take elite defense aside and nearly all those guys are rotational players in the NBA and we picked him up that late in a week draft? I mean - we hope he has a higher ceiling but grabbing a guy who seems to have a floor of rotational defensive specialist is decent and if he can develop any kind of a reliable shot, he becomes one of the more valuable positional roles in the league.

So, the whole Kevin Durant thing has really crystallized something for me. If we want to be in the running to trade for a star, how can we do that without Gordon if we trade him for multiple pieces? All our contracts will be tiny. I don’t know, man… I’m starting to think we should keep Gordon if trading him will just result in a low FRP.

i would think thybulle plus bassey plus philly's 2029 second round pick would get a first round pick with lottery protection.

Good ploy by the Rockets inviting Eric Gordon’s brother. Just in case Eric starts to grow impatient and demand a trade leading to the Rockets losing any leverage in a deal.

I guess the hope is that we don't need to trade for a star. After three years of high quality drafts, we may be able to grow our own cornerstones, kind of like the old OKC team or the pre-Durant GS team.
