I'm curious to know what they offered. Or more accurately, what Morey turned down.

Morey is a normal GM. Move on, find a new slant.

They had Hinkie. The process seems to be working.

    No thanks.

I was in Philadelphia last week. It is not a place you want to move to on your own terms.

There are some minor things I don't like about Daryl (his infatuation with certain offensive players that are limited in other areas, him not putting a lot of emphasis on defense historically, and his obsession over Harden's MVP award) but other than that he is a smart and shrewd GM. I want him in charge of the Rockets for a long time.

The only other guy I would consider is Jerry West.

Just heard the news. I love you Daryl Morey. Never leave us.

Can I quit my consulting job to come work for you?

Morey, Harden, CP3, and D’antoni are all gonna win a ring in Houston and finally solidify their legacies

DM could really do something special with the 76’s, IMO. I personally think he should stay and finish here but I could see the appeal of the East & all the talented youth of the 76’s. His skill set and just small “tweaks” he will be at the least in the Eastern Finals or playing for championships every year from now till he retires. I don’t want him to go but would understand why he would leave. If he left now his bad contracts wouldn’t stink on his watch and he would leave on top. Once again I want him to stay.

Do y'all think Morey was tempted to take it? Philly might be much closer to winning a championship than we are.

The same Bryan Colangelo that has two executive of the year awards, twice as many as Morey?

I think he fantasizes about being a GM in the Eastern conference. :)

If things go south here for a few seasons, I could see him moving on, sure. Definitely not after last season, though. I wonder how much truth there really is to this report, because it would be a weird move by the Sixers.

The first thing he would’ve mentioned would have been cheesesteaks.

    Let me get this straight.

They fire his very like minded homeboy when he had them on the right track, and then expect him to come aboard. I wouldn't have even been polite if I were Morey. Go f**k yourselves.
