There lies the problem. Morey and the stats guys would say Asik is a Top 3 defensive Center in the league but the league won't buy until Asik has a record of at least 2-3 years of domination in that area.

He started one season so far.

if we can get evan turner from the sixers...ITS OVER...with him and lin as our sixth men who tf is gonna stop this team...we just gotta hope greg smith can hurry and get healthy to play backup center or maybe add Dmo to the trade to get hawes...who knows.

They are not going to give us a young stud(25 years old not even in his prime yet) averaging 20-6-4 on 45% shooting for Asik let alone including Hawes in there. Even if Hawes leaves it gives them more cap room at the seasons end to build on a talented young base.

They are looking to rebuild, they want to get worse.

Asik mean Noel can play back-up...basically they can be cautious with his health.

They own New Orleans pick if it is outside the top 5, Philli keep their pick if they are in the lottery.

If they can get out pick they could end up with 2 top 10 picks and a late first round pick.

Turner is on the outs, I'm not saying we will get them because Morey will want to keep that pick. The East sucks, teams will have to try really hard to suck enough.

Asik will make them better in the short term so that beats that logic. I don't see them trading Turner for Asik alone. They could pairup MCW, Noel,Turner and whatever picks they get and be a contender straighon) in the east.xt seastaway(ne

If Morey pulls that off, we are so loaded it's scary. Turner can play as the backup swingman and be a super sub, lin goes to as the primary backup PG and Hawes a great stretch 5.

    Look at this bench

    Lin
    Turner
    Casspi
    Young/Jones
    Hawes

That second unit could be a top 3 team in the east.Holly smokes.

That would be awesome but I still don't get why the 76ers would do this.

The 76ers are trying to unload Young. He has a bad contract and isn't part ofheir t future.

Where did you see that? I think Turner is not part of the long-term plan of the Sixers but they can easily flip him into a lottery pick. No way he goes to Houston.

Same thing with Turner. There has been a lot of rumors about him going to the Cavs so for his name to come up in this trade isn't far fetched. Young, Turner, and Hawes? That'd be pretty nice to have right now

Funny how people think we fleeced the 76ers with Royce White, remember we had to give then a really good prospect to get them to take him.

    Assume =

    Ass + u + me

    No, thanks.

2B honest, I think the Celtics will keep KHump because they really need to cut salary. But I've been surprised before.

Spencer and Turner (sounds like a 70s cop show) far exceed the contract of Asik.
