I'm surprised Clips/Roxfan didn't post this. I'm sure he's smiling with glee somewhere that Brian freaking Cook is gonna be a major contributor for the Clips.

You know, we might as well get ready to rebuild and start trading our crap players for a good draft pick or two. What with Morrison being a Wizard and Cook being a Clipper, those two teams are going to be in the Finals for the next 5 years. Next great rivalry.

Exactly. ****ing monopoly. They'd literally have to force them to split into 2 different companies...I mean teams.

While Brian Cook may not possess the athleticism that Lebron has, or the determination that Kobe has, his presence is truly felt on the bench, as he cheers his teammates on to victory.

I will work on a highlight reel that shows Brian Cook showing his natural talent at verbally motivating his teammates.

so i went the clippers denver preseason game last night i found some
good seats at a good price and i wanted to see Blake Griffin play and
hoped that maybe since its about 2 weeks away till the regular reason
that Melo would be playing a bit more since I havent seen him play in
    person before.

Good news is that melo played a lot of minutes even if some of the
other nuggets regulars did not play at all, but thats ok.

bad news? Brian Cook did play and he got about 7 minutes of action.

he sauntered in with a few minutes left early in first to replace
Griffin who had some foul trouble. per the norm on offense he hung
around the perimeter and no one really guarded him...he got the ball
left elbow three and fired! it was flat, it was straight and it went
in and out. Cook turned away and shook his head upset he missed the
shot.... like there would be any other outcome?

Cook was primarily guarding Mr. Candace Parker when he was on the
floor but on one occasion he got switched onto Anthony. I swear
anthony's eyes became the size of the basketball.. one jab step and a
fake and Cook was up in the air and then tried to avoid contact but
Anthony drew the foul eliciting another "man brian why did you do
    that" moment from Cook.

at this moment my friend who i brought ot the game who knew nothing of
basketball attending her first game leans over to me and says "man
that number 34 is not very good why are they not substituting?"

on the anthony foul cook is waiting and gomes is getting set to check
in for aminu and cook assumes that its him going out so both he and
aminu leave the free through line and gomes is point at aminu to come
out and then coach VDN yells something (couldnt hear what) and then
gomes' finger moves from aminu's body over to cook.

out goes cook about 2 minutes played.

he re-enters the game with about 2 minutes left in the first half,
once again substituting for griffin. this time a right elbow three
came off the back rim so fast that i swear it may have broken a finger
if it didnt hit the ground first at the top of the key. another head
shake and trot back down the court. next play down cook is whistled
    for a foul.

as the half ended cook felt that anthony shoved him out of the way to
get a rebound...anthony did shove him but when a bigger guy like cook
gets inside position and doesnt box out from there..thats his own
fault..he pleaded his case to the ref after the halftime buzzer and as
the ref left the ref had a laugh and grin as he approached the other
two refs to go to the locker room.

as the second half started cook came in the third and truly made his
    brian cook mark.

on a broken possession he somehow found himself on the left block
posting up. randy foye then passed him the ball -- something that
should never be done especially when on the previous play he was wide
open 3 times from the left elbow and every other clipper decided to
pass cross court instead of passing it to him.

but cook got the ball and immediately went into a triple threat
stance, faking passes to cutters and had a total look of confusion on
his face. "Oh this is going to be great" I said in anticipation. one
dribble two dribble backing it in , turn to the middle and fade......
blocked by Mr. Parker everyone around me at that point started yelling
at VDN to pull him. I have never heard that sort of outrage at a
player outside of Kaman and Dunleavy Sr at games. The good news is
that Randy Foye learning his lesson never passed Cook the ball again.

On one defensive play the long rebound went out to the right elbow 3,
cook was the closest to it but Ty Lawson who was the left side of the
court was able to outrun cook despite cook having a good 7-8 foot head
start to the ball. as a result of the the extra possesion Cook was
    assessed his third foul.

Finally on a loose ball foul that was committed by someone on denver
on Kaman Cook was underneath the basket along with the Kaman, Anthony
and I believe it was actually former Fresno State standout and clipper
Melvin Ely. Ely commited the foul on Kaman. the foul was called
before the shot went up. the shot goes up Cook i guess didnt hear the
whistle goes up strong to get this rebound with one hand brings it
into his body and then trips over his own feet when landing and falls
down onto the floor and rolls onto his back. No clipper came to his
aid immediately..anthony looked at him on the floor wondering how such
an imbecile could be sharing the same floor as him. he was on the
floor for a few seconds and then got up and with the same brian cook
    look on his face.

at the end of the night he played 7 minutes, was 0-3 from the floor, 1
shot blocked 3 personal fouls and a plus/minus of -5.

Basically for every minute Brian Cook played the clippers were going
to lose by a point. Had he played the full 48 minutes at that same
rate the clippers would have lost by 34 points IF he didnt foul out
    first.

Also please make note that his plus/minus was -5 and the final score
    was a denver 100-95 victory
