Agreed, rest them both, if Maurice Jones-Drew isn't playing then the jags don't stand a chance anyway.

I would give them a few plays if they are healthy. Hopefully by the third quarter we can take all our starters out.

Might as welll just plays our 2's and 3's in the second half. no need for more injuries.

I expect some aggressive play-calling early on. PA bootleg bomb to go up quickly so Gary can do exactly what the OP suggests and sit everyone.

Ben Tate if he can go NEEDS some carries to knock off rust, but OD may need more the rest.

Don't think Tate will be healthy enough to play anyway, so obviously rest him.
As far as Daniels goes, I say let him play if he is physically able to. That IS why they get paid ain't it.

Also fyi, this is Kubiak we are talking about. When has he ever rested a player just to do it unless the medical staff (trainers etc) tells him to, its not gonna happen.

If they can play, let them contribute. You don't have to give them more than a series if you feel like it. I get the sense that OD will probably be good, but Tate is still a question mark - he just started jogging and running - he probably needs one more week until he can explode the way he needs to in games.

I'm also interested in Sharpton's status.

Didn't he sit Schaub during a blowout earlier this season?

divisional games are never easy. Jags front four always plays stout against us. Hopefully we won't need Daniels or Tate and this game will be decided by half time.

If Jones is not playing, then they should sit out Cody as well.

Yea you gotta bet the under on this. Kubiak is a docile man. Unless there's a reason for revenge (a la Tennessee last year or Baltimore this year), we won't blow anybody out. After a 2 TD it's all operation shutdown from there on.
