I think the Lakers are done, Kobe isn't that great anymore and they've been manhandled by every single contender they've played this year. I'll bet that they wont even get homecourt his year.
Not really going out on a limb there the way the spurs are playing, they should get homecourt....but, this isn't anything new for LA. They have a habit of getting bored and people count them out, but they come through again when needed. Plus, they just got Bynum back and he's only been playing significantly for about a week and that coincides with their current 5 game winning streak. Mavs lost Butler and it wasn't clear they were better even when they had him. The spurs are the only team standing in their way and i can't see them keeping up in a 7 game series. They still don't have the size to beat them, so who will stop them from making another trip to the finals? Probably only themselves, but with their experience and talent I can't see that happening unless they lose Kobe to an injury to have 2 significant injuries.
Martin is a Corey Maggette-esque iso only player with an outside shot. Not a player conducive to winning like a prime Rip Hamilton; the Rockets should be dangling him as long as teams are willing to take on his contract. I want to see Howard and Blake Griffin team up for a new age twin towers. Florida is lamee.
