As entertaining as the TNT set is, everytime Kenny thinks he's making a point, I sit there thinkin to myself...whaaatt...the hell...is he trying to say?

"The Rockets need Tracy to score b/c when he scores, it helps him rest easier at night which helps the fans sleep easier and in turn JVG will grow his hair back."

I mean if he's not pointing out the obvious, he's saying some abstract idea in his noggin. Soooo, I wouldn't worry too much about what Kenny says. I do commend him on his "off the court" contributions. You gotta admire that.

the silly thing about this is that kobe by himself has no ring. the championship team had shaq. there is no validity in your statement.

If T-Mac gets deep in the playoffs, Kenny will be on his knee's doing you know what to T-Mac & Yao as well.

Only a matter of time before Kenny changes his tune.

it was impossible to make mac's orlando team better. the worst team is just that. the worst team of players. one player does not make a team great. great

So Kenny is accusing Tracy for not elevating his teammates better, when T-Mac's back problem is precisely due to the fact those team-mates couldnt save their life to put the ball in the basket? Give me a break.

If anything the league should put a limit on how bad a franchise can be so a young budding star such as McGrady doesn't get burn out physically and mentally by the age of 27.

I know we live in a macho-result driven society but a dose of reasonableness wouldn't be so bad.

Another word of wisdom from one of the moron twins (Kenny and Charles). The fact these guys stay on T.V. is a commentary on American Pop Culture, how low we have sunk, a race to the bottom. No one remotely connected to the Rockets will get any fair treatment from these two. It is abundantly clear, they hate the Houston Rockets and everyone connected to them. (Which means they even hate themselves ;) )

Kenny Smith is an idiot. The guy definitely has something against the Rockets and he won't hesitate to bash us on the air - even at the risk of contradicting himself, which he does on nearly every occasion he brings out the rocket hate.

Kenny Smith is right. TMac is a very good player, but not a great player. Orlando once had a .256 win percentage. Great players don’t let that happen. Basketball is one of the few team sports that allow one individual a chance to make a significant difference. What has TMac accomplished besides winning the scoring title, which is more a personal accolade than a team feat? The goal of playing the game is to win games, and that is what great players are judged by.

At the beginning of the year TMac’s career record was 319 wins and 387 losses. That record is what people should use to judge Tmac’s career, not slick marketing

    Dear Kenny Smith,
I understand that you are the 'great' Point Guard of the Rockets Championship Teams. If this be true It's about time for you to be saying some nice things about our Rockets. It is obvious by your last statement that you are just talking through the back of your rear end. Your statement indicates that you haven't been watching Rockets Games, with a fit Tracy Mc Grady. Tracy is one heck of a talented player and is rappidly becoming the best playmaker in the NBA. Remember Kenny, the Playmaker sets up other players to make a score and that Tracy spends at least half of his game to make OTHERS BETTER. I invite you to come with me to a Rockets Game as my Guest, so that I might just point out a few of the GREAT qualiies of Yao and McGrady. :p

So I guess this logic would allow Kenny Smith to consider himself a great player. Smart guy.

Well, if TMac is just a good but not a great player, so tell me how many players can be called great? Is Nash a great player? How about Kidd? How about Malone? How about KG? None of them has a ring.
