Have you noticed a reduction in the downtime you experience from these allergy/sinus flareups?

That's how mine has worked. I still have my allergy episodes, but I recover MUCH quicker and rarely ever develop a sinus infection since my pipes drain so much better now.

25 years of misery and experience here; contact these guys:
    http://www.richiespharmacy.com/

They will probably need to contact your ENT for a script, but they have a system that works. They use a Neilmed squeeze bottle with two capsules you empty in to it; 1. is a Betamethasone steroid and 2. is a mix of Ciprofloxacin and Fluconazole.

Because it goes topically into your nose, the steroid is about 100 times more effective than an oral dose, plus it doesn't keep you awake all night. Also, because it's topical, you don't have to worry about any infections building up a tolerance.

We are pretty sure my problem is a fungal allergy. I've had 3 surgeries and a sinoplasty that only provided temporary relief. But this system once a day keeps me pretty well year round. I am having some issues this week so I'm doing 2 or 3 a day, I seem to be getting better quickly.

One other bonus, I haven't had a straight head cold in the two years I have been doing it. I even give my wife a dose or two when she seems to be coming down with a head cold and it stops it in its tracks. (I assume it's the Cipro)

It runs around $90 a month and because it's compounded, insurance doesn't cover it; but it's worth anything you have to pay if you have a constant headache and can't breathe through your nose.

The other small drawback is you have saltwater running out of your nose for an hour or two after you use it, aqueous globs when you bend over.

    S**, saved my life.
