I'm not defending FOX. I don't watch local FOX News or the cable network.

That being said I don't think FOX really tries to hide itself as a conservative mouth piece. Furthermore one of the hallmarks of conservative talk shows and politics for that matter is uniformity

I do see conservatives arguing otherwise but when it comes to elections they are more dependent on getting everyone on the same page on candidates just because more people identity as Democrats. To win elections they need everyone behind one candidate.

Say what you want about Trump, he won keeping the social and fiscal conservatives together

People don't get conservatives. They don't vote for the man's personality, they vote for the man's agenda that they support

If you applied a basic amount of effort you would understand the massive difference

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/obama-campaign-use-tactics-cambridge-analytica/

On top of what is explained in that article, Obama's and Romney's data mining didn't transfer over to fake meme generation spamming all over Facebook and Twitter .

    Trump has a coherent agenda?

Also, it's quite obvious that he panders to the lowest hanging fruit of wedge issues to feed red meat to his base. It's why as a President he goes off the rails and b****es about the most trivial things that has nothing to do with his office such as using his bully pulpit to b**** about athlet s kneeling at sporting venues and calling their mothers "b****es".

You are a New Yorker it looks like (hence the name). Most of the people here are Texans (hence a Houston sports basketball forum).

Us Texans/Houstonians understand conservatives better than you EVER will. We have been living in a red sea our entire lives down here. The fact that traditional Republicans held their nose and voted for Trump was because they thought the PERSONALITY of the other person was soooo bad, they'd vote for the guy that at least would have a "Republican" infrastructure around him.

However.... those same people, IMO, have had a shift this past 1.5 years. Not because of personality, but because of three things -

-They still think they are getting/will get something out of this presidency (maybe oil & gas jobs/anti abortion legislation, etc)
    - They don't want to believe they voted for the wrong person, and that they are bad people
-Their media outlets are feeding them a narrative that the Trump white house is really doing well for them

The third one is important as it relates to the topic at hand. If you watch the local news with a Sinclair Fox station, watch Hannity every night, and then go to work at a company like Halliburton here in Houston where the water cooler talk will be repeating the same talking points you heard last night in-between watching the Astros & the Bachelor, you are going to EASY to convert in the areas that Republicans have shifted under Trump. Like on things like Tariffs.

So please don't come in here and tell us that we don't understand Conservatives. The Sinclair Trump takeover isn't going to change these Conservatives that much (since they are already getting 2/3 pro-Trump views elsewhere), but that additional pro-Trump loop certainly will increase the volume a little bit more. It will make a difference with many many people.

Sorry but I just don't think this is fair - whether or not you agree with NewYorker he has been consistent in his conservative viewpoint. Your state of origin doesn't make you more or less able to have a strong preference for one party or the other.

So, they're the party of "Do as I say, not as I do" and we should be cool with that?

The people electing the conservatives are voting against their own well being, focus on the lower class and how you are going to bring them up, and watch the conservatives have to modify their behavior.

Right now, Conservative = Greed, nothing else.

Sinclair stations have been a conservative mouthpiece for a lot longer than the Trump candidacy. They have been waging a cultural war via their media stations for as long as I can remember. Remember the decision to show Stolen Honor in 2004?

Actually, Trump has been giving real conservatives exactly what they wanted and what he promised to do. He talked tough on trade in the campaign and that he was going to take it to China - he is doing that. He's going after illegal immigrants. He's protecting the industries he said he'd protect, no? The man knows how to pander to his base - you think they are stupid, but his 40% that approve of him approve of him because he does do what they want him to do.

Trump is a real American. He doesn't bow down to anyone. He's got a bigger button than anyone and knows how to use it. Look at Kim Jung begging now to meet with Trump to admire his button.

This is what conservatives want. Strength. Alpha Dog. Not Beta Obama with his Mom Jeans who gets taken advantage of and is afraid to enforce red lines.

Iraq is a democracy - because conservatives made sure of that. Egypt? It's right back to where it was with Mubarak - a dictatorship.

    Thanks Obama!

Trump is going to make China beg. He's going to make Kim give up his Nukes. He's going to make the whole wide world FEAR America again. Oh just wait until you see it. Even Putin will wish Clinton had won when it's all over.

Oh I understand. If you put in the effort you'd realize that snopes is a fake news site owned by liberals meant to attack the right. And that link shows that,

So basically the only difference was that FB changed it's policies - and that's from the snoops (or is it poops) article you quoted. Fake News!

Did you not read the part about Cambridge Analytica didn't even ask for an opt in informing the actual users?

Also the other part of Cabridgre Analyitca leaked by the CEO Alexander Nix about their aggresive tactics spreading fake news and blackmailing politicians .

Opt-in check box? Really? How many emails do I get that I opted-in for? Worst you can say about Cambridge Analytica is that it's a spam organization because it didn't have a check-box LOL.

How is a company going to hire prostitutes to sleep with politicians, and then also take pictures of the encounter so that they can threaten to release them if they don't become bots for their sinister analytics plans!

Just because the CEO of a company brags about blackmailing people doesn't me he did it. Heck, people boast about all sorts of things. I bet you think Wilt slept with 20,000 women. Bragging about blackmailng - that's just salesmanship. He's trying to win a client over by saying he can do anything. That doesn't mean they actually do anything.
