That doesn't bother me. I do it for the love, not for the status. It would be one thing if i was wrong. I think the time has passed on the old failed yao-tracy-battier era we tried. One guy is making max and can't stay on the court and the other is making almost 8m and trips over his intangibles. If its about business, thats why the rockets can't win anything. I'd rather start over and try to get a defensive,rebounding,shot blocking guy like thabeet and 2 picks to go along with the perimeter guys like brooks,chase,martin,and a reliable guy like scola and try to keep developing hill and the pick. Offering yao a contract of any kind is r****ded considering the last 5 years he's missed 2 full seasons worth of games.

Six years? Really? Nobody would give Yao 6 years. It would be a dream come true for Yao.

I would say that even 4 year for our organization is just too much risk. But we don't know if it is true or not.

 

As I have said on many occasions, if the Rockets offer Yao a long and expensive contract it won't be for basketball reasons because no team is that stupid not even the Rockets. It is time for a new direction.

It is funny that you mention Bosh as I have yet to mention I want him on our team. I could care less if we end up with Bosh or some other big of comparable skill. Yao has never been able to lead us and it would asinine to count on him to lead us to one now or give him a max contract. The only people that believes he deserves a max contract and will lead us to a ring are YOF's.
