We didn't trade for Elvin Hayes. We drafted him with the 1st pick of the 1968 draft when we were still in San Diego. Thanks for sharing, though. I like to read about what others think of the Rockets and stuff related to the team. Yes, even from Sina. ;-)-

We actually drafted Elvin Hayes (#7 on that list) 1st overall. We did trade for him late in his career though.

I know #1 netted a championship but I think the Moses Malone trade should be #1. They got Malone for two draft picks that netted a couple of nobodies. The Rockets lost out on Otis Thorpe and a draft pick to get Drexler. A good deal for the Rockets but still #2 to the Malone deal.

$50K, if memory serves. A steal and a better deal than the Scola trade, in my opinion, and I'm a big fan of Luis.

Moses has to be number 1.

2 NBA MVP's (while in Houston) and he dragged Houston to its 1st ever NBA championship series.

That T-mac trade was fantastic. Outside of the championships that was the most excited I've been about a team until the Dwight signing.

Harden trade would be up there as well.

I was really excited when we traded for Pippen away. One of the best trades.
