Very tough choice...The Simpsons is hilarious at different points throughout the show, yet Seinfeld you can laugh at throughout the entire show as the plot develops. If I had my choice, I'd say the Simpsons, but just because of that one episode where Bart gathers an army and while role-calling says "Olajuwon!".

OH DEAR LORD THAT SHOW IS AWFUL!!! I actulally made sure not to mention it because it's so bad.

But on a Family Guy episode I watched today, it showed the funniest joke about this. Peter says "Lois, I can fool anybody . . . remember the time I faked that I was gay", and it shows him sitting there watching Caroline in the City . . . alone . . . I was laughing so hard . . .

    Both.

They are both hilarious, and I couldn't choose between them.

Damn you Fox and your 9 o'clock news! That was the funniest hour on TV in Austi before you screwed it all up.

    Simpsons.

There is so much subtle humor in every episode, it's hard for you to catch it all. The only negative is that it can almost become an inside joke. They've also started to rely on wierdness lately, but as a whole series, it's the one.

    "The goggles, they do nothing!"

What do we have here, a closet Austinite? I don't recall seeing you at any Austin Rocketball gatherings. Don't worry, we don't bite.

I love Seinfeld, Friends and even Frasier. Simpsons are also good. My all-time favorite are still Beavis and Butthead because Butthead looks so much like me :D. I don't know if something is wrong with me, but I was laughing almost through the whole movie when I saw "Beavis and Butthead do America" in Houston - most others in the cinema seemed to be kind of bored...

I would pay CASH money for a Simpsons/Seinfeld channel.

Hard to choose but Springfield can't lose.

I wouldnt mind seeing episodes of Newsradio(WB/A&E), Quantum Leap(SCI-FI), Married With Children(FX/FOX) thrown in. What a channel that would be. It could be called the ReRun channel. I need some funding and I will get it started! :D

    Notables for the late night spots : Friends(WB), SNL(Comedy), Mad TV(TNN), Full House(UPN/TBS), Jeopardy(Gameshow), Beavis/Butthead.

Please tell me someone didn't mention FULL HOUSE? Are you kidding me, Olsen Twins, Bob Saggat and that Stamos dork? They show blows serious chunks. Id rather watch an episode of Different Strokes on one of the Spanish Channels than watch Full House

don't remind me of the show that launched the Olsen twins' careers when they were 3 months old...

Simpsons vs. Seinfeld, I pick Simpsons. Not even close. I just never "got" Seinfeld. There's a line between funny and stupid, and it spent most of its time on the wrong side of the line. And that short guy (George?) was just repulsive... so much so that even sticking around to laugh at him wasn't worth it. Too mean-spirited and meaningless.

The Simpsons, on the other hand, is one of the greatest of all time. (agreed with statement about Fox 7 in Austin ruining everything. I'm never home by 6:30 to watch the other one!)

Gotta go with Simpsons all the way. There are so many funny things about it especially the characters that pop up from time to time (Comic Book Guy, Ralph, Chief Wiggum, etc.)
