Inconsistency in calls and swaying one direction in favor of one team. It happens in that when not a home you might not get the call. Add to it playoffs and even though undercutting someone is lame they wont call it evrerytime the same way every snap is a hold in nfl. Cuttino mobley had last shot in playoffs against lakers and shaq practically tackled him and didnt get the call. The refs will try to sway as they did against us in knicks seriez and we overcame that to win it all. Refs swayed in 2002 and the kings received one of the most blantant snow jobs ive ever seen .Be happy the league doesnt love the warriors as they did the lakers. 2 good things have come out of this 1) happened game 1 hopefully refs domination of conversation is over and we got this shi*tshow out of the way. We can get the whole ref conversation over and hopefully rest of way its not an huge ( yeah i know) 2) refs and league might try to makeup and give rockets some calls to save face Phil Jackson would complain and next game they got a bazillion free throws. We got gobert and tv complaining for us as well. This is a good thing if you want ref help
Based on yesterday game, close but not really. Based on history, not the rockets in particular but Harden. Like previous special player, the league had to change their rules due to them and there were at some due to Harden - the swipe through and the gather of the ball. I feel they continue to apply them unequally and more critical toward harden. As for yesterday, it was a bit strange. They were consistently wrong about not calling the landing zone foul. One particular defender (Thompson) did it more than others and thus it was a big disadvantage to the rockets. They also didn’t call it when one of the rockets defender ended up in curry landing zone on one of his 3 pt shot (and curry did fall down due to that). What was strange was that obvious and clear foul on Harden arm that the ref didn’t call until the 3pt shot was missed and harden complained visually where he was hit. That is a better example of that particular ref deciding to not make call in favor of Harden. The cp3 and Dantoni tech were both bad timing and wrong. Cp3 got his 3 pt shot off, made it and thought he was fouled. I didn’t see the foul... it was borderline. He just closed the gap and than gave up 2 critical points. Also if you are going to get two tech, do it for the Thompson getting in harden landing zone ones. Overall, if the ref wanted to make it harder for the rockets, they can consistently make certain bad calls or no calls toward both teams that they believe would impact the rockets more than the warriors, which is what I think was the case yesterday. If this is truly the case, the players and coaches need to adjust. As others have pointed out, get into the landing zone of the warriors player as an adjustment.
