he'd be setting himself up if he did that, if tmac had a set back then everyone would blame Adelman for "lying" or holding him back...he's done enough by implying he'd be back later this month. Why is that not enough???

As soon as you stop referring to him as Stacy...even though it is funny. LOL.

I think you have mis-characterized the situation by analogizing it to the Marbury/Knicks situation. This is nothing like that situation due to the fact that both parties have handled it rather professionally (outside of the initial report of T-Mac's return).

Its been a few weeks since that report and other than a few mentions of the spat in articles talking about likely trades, the media hasn't picked up and ran with it like they did the Marbury/Knicks situation.

I am not holding my breathe until T-Mac plays because reports still have it that the Rockets don't want T-Mac playing in a Rockets uniform again. In other words, his career with the Rockets is done. Most recent, this was reiterated in the Yahoo Sports video about likely trades going down. If the organization is done with him, then its time to thank him for the few classic moments and send the guy on his way. If the organization changes it mind and gives the guy a chance, hopefully he can show glimpses of his old self so that either the Rockets keep him and they keep winning or are able to trade him for an unhappy star.

So at the moment, those are the likely situations. Option 1, Rockets are done with him. Option 2, Rockets really think he isn't ready and once they see it fit, they will play him and he either a) does well and stays with the team, or b) does well and gets shipped off.

Nothing more, nothing less at the moment. But I don't think the organization has handled it unprofessionally in the least bit. When a superstar how hasn't always done things the right way is in a contract year and the organization has legitimate fears of him putting his self-interest (new, long term contract) over the development of younger players, then they have a right to be cautious.

I know mcgrady feels like the world is against him, first the media(never been out the first round) then the fans turn against him (even though he played injured), and now his own organization (as much as he's carried this team) their scared he'll break chemistry for a sub .500 team.

I know he's dying inside to prove everyone wrong and he's healthy know I know he's gonna play like a man possessed, if only Adelman would just put his emotions to the side for the betterment of the team

^^^ Another poster regitered in 2009 whose majority of the posts involve McGrady and lobbying for playing time for him. His post above shows who is rooting for, a player, not the team.

Something fishy is going on here....

The Rockets will play Tracy when he is actually healthy enough to play. McGrady biggest problem has been he comes back from injuries before he has completely healed from them. That's why he is always on the injury list thought his career. He listens to idiots who claim he is not tough and he's soft and he try to prove them wrong and reinjures himself once again. He needs somebody to sit him down and wait until a doctor clears him to play. Also get a good amount of time in practice so he can play up to par in games.

yeah,me too feel it unfair for T-MAC.

there should be a set timetable for his play,I hate to hear things like he is recovering,he is ok in the practice, but still not prepare for the game.

even T-mac IS 70% restore,I think he is enough to play NBAgame.anyway I hope DM and RD could give a clear timetable for all of us,If they don't wanna play T-mac,PLEASE dump him as soon as possible.

I know we all question McGrady's toughness and manhood at times... but that was uncalled for and excessively harsh. And you spelled it wrong.

T-Mac will play when the coach thinks he is ready to not only play but contribute. There ARE no timelines for when a player is back into game shape. They are either in shape or not. For such a simply question, you would think people would get it and stop asking simple dumb questions...

Bring him back on Tuesday 22 against the clippers, it will be a good startoff for him against an easy team.

I just want to see him play with this group of guys. I think he'd do great!

I think he's 308349028349032 steps better than Ariza, Budinger and Jermaine Taylor. Therefore, he should play. I do not want to see him start or play 40 mins a game right off the bat...just play him dammit!
