^^ about to mention that. i think simms just needs to ask for a trade because for whatever reason gruden isn't going to give him and opportunity.
Wow, that is a bit of a surprise - I thought Simms looked good last season. edit: Simms is still the starter with Rattay the back-up
I keep seeing people say Simms has an 'up and down relationship' with Gruden. I wonder what that's all about?
well from what i've read gruden never signed off on the draft selection of him for whatever reason and since then just hasn't liked him. i've seen some quotes from talking about how he prefers not to have a left handed QB...to me the guy just doesn't like him for some really dumb reasons. that's why he just needs to ask to be traded after the season because gruden is NEVER going to give the kid a chance.
Oh God, not Rattay. Living in Northern California I have seen more than I care to of Rattay and the Niners. I would be much more comfortable with Simms, or even bringing back Shaun King.
Next time Chris Simms plays on the road, i want the crowd to taunt him by yelling OKLAHOMA! OKLAHOMA! OKLAHOMA! and have them play their fight song.
Bogus pushed out of bounds call almost immediately preceding that, SWEET. Worst call of the day, hands down. The Bucs have gotten the long end of the stick this year in some close calls. That play, Alstott getting across the line, the Detroit game to name three.
Not Sunday. Betts appeared to step out of bounds on the kickoff return for a touchdown earlier in the game... things even themselves out. I don't see how any of us can tell whether Alstott got across the line. One angle it looks like he did - the angle showing his elbow down just in front of the line makes it probable he didn't - but none of us are in a position to tell for sure because the ball is nowhere to be seen in that picture. Also, the questionable force out call happened with about 5:00 left in the first quarter. Oh, and to my knowledge, "nutless cowards" fall on their face when they're down 7 with 1:40 left with no timeouts facing a good NFL defense.
