JVG may deserve it, but Avery will probably get it, and he is just as deserving.

I don't think CD should get GM of the year, but he is not too far behind. Should go to Colangelo.

But I agree with him on the fact that the Kings, Clips, Lakers, Nets, and Bulls are idiots. I shouldnt have to put Minny on that list cuz I think they are a given on any stupid teams list.

His articles are always this long. I don't know how this guy can write such long stories and always be funny. He is really the best sports writer out there.

Nope, too bad, that's the consensus now. Nobody is extolling the genius of Jerry West anymore, and I haven't heard many positive things said about Rudy Gay recently. Oh, and where's Swift now? Buried on the bench. I saw an article here that is quite telling:

    http://www.commercialappeal.com/mca/grizzlies/article/0,1426,MCA_475_5375244,00.html

Hm... His coach knows Swift probably needs minutes, but he also knows when Stro plays the team starts losing. I haven't heard a harsher indictment of a player's game in a while.

Without Battier, however, the Rockets certainly would not be 14 games about .500, while the Grizzlies have pretty much the same team now this year as last year, Gasol has returned to form, and they are still competing for the #1 pick.

More like it was a win-win trade for both teams.

Ahahaha... trading footage of Juwan from 96 would have probably worked if one of West's advisors hadn't stepped in and been like "Um, Mr. West, not only is Juwan Howard wearing a Washington Bullets jersey in this game footage, but consider if you will the fact that he is currently a Rocket and, perhaps most importantly, that the VHS cassette is clearly labeled 'Dec-Apr 1996.'"

West: Linda,go ahead and cancel the Juwan Howard/Chucky Atkins swap I ordered earlier today... apparently this is just FOOTAGE of Juwan.

Hahaha... oh man, best zinger against Jerry West I've heard in awhile.

Also, I hope he's wrong about our being one quality guard away from contending, but the fact that we have no real back up to Skip scares me. Hope we can seriously contend despite our backup PG situation.

...We should have just traded our first and second round pics w/ JLIII for the best PG we could get (I assume a very capable starter) and start him ahead of Skip.
