Yeah that's the one silver lining. We found out this postseason that we have the true MVP. Even though a fully healthy team would be enough this series, we just need to continue to add better and better role players around James. If we had DMo and Bev this series would be 2-0 in our favor, no doubt.
The Warriors didn't score more than 22 points in a quarter after the first quarter. Maybe we figured something out.
Does anyone have a means to find out how many times the home team wins the first 5 games in a 7 game series? I'm just thinking about this, if the Rockets hold serve in Games 3 and 4 then at that point they should have a lot of momentum going into the pivotal Game 5. I feel like we have some momentum as it is now, even down 0-2, knowing that only 5 points have separated these 2 teams ON THE ROAD. I have a very good feeling that the Rox will be able to win all of their home games. So stealing Game 5 would be huge. I know I'm getting 3 steps ahead, but that's just how I see it going down. I still like the Rox in 6.
Role players play better at home. I expect the Rockets to win at home, maybe even handily. If Memphis (the 4 seed) can take them to 6, I don't see why we can't exceed that.
This. When these guys play well the Rockets are unstoppable. Better yet, when Smith is off hos game he simply KILLS this team since he's such a chucker. Dude shoots way too much and tonight he couldn't hit the back of a barn; yet, he kept on shooting. To make matter worse he committed a costly TO, as usual, during a critical time in the game, and had zero rebounds... ZERO, with a few minutes to go in the game. THAT CAN'T HAPPEN.
James Harden showed me his heart tonight and it was bigger than everyone else's on the court. We took an unconscious advantage despite the scoreboard tonight. The Warriors should be concerned. Two games is nothing when you believe you can win.
Silver linings: Little samfisher seems to be sober for once and the Rockets should win game 3 at home.
Klay Thompson has looked like a deer in the headlights for most of this series. 6/18 in game one and 6/15 in this game. 1/7 from three in each game.
