His system, if he has one, is not compatible with a true post player. He has no idea how to use someone like Sengun. Even still Sengun has the highest PER of any regular rotation player and regularly has one of the best +/- every game. He still impacts games even though he is rarely used to his strengths.

Like I said, I honestly expected a better take than this from you. This is like a box score level take.

That's like saying Shaq is only 2 inches taller than KG. Being bigger is more than just height. Jokic is massively built generically, in a way that can't be compensated by lifting weights.

Jokic doesn't do what he does because he is big, but because he is skilled. You make it sound like Jokic plays like Shaq, but he doesn't. So your entire "Jokic is big" point falls flat on its face. Terrible take. Do better.

Yes. The same seeing eye dog that told you Sengun is a good defender

So I just looked this poster up quickly. Hated Morey, was a huge fan of Melo on the Rockets, praised Westbrook at times. You get the idea where this guy comes from.

He has a lot of learning to do, but that comes with experience and he will get better.

LOL that’s really been your takeaway from this? That I am saying Jokic plays like Shaq? Wow, just wow!

Let's start first with take "Jokic is bigger, Sengun is faster" and stop to consider why that's so ridiculous. To start with, Jokic isn't bigger, he is massively bigger, to the point where he easily bullies his way around the paint or when he drives. He's not just massively bigger than Sengun, he is massively bigger than almost all his peers. Ever seen Embiid stand next to him? Much smaller in comparison. This is an example of what we call "elite physical attribute" in the NBA. Sengun is faster than Jokic, so what? Jokic is one of the slowest plodders out there, of course Sengun should be faster! He is much smaller! That's not what matters though. What matters is "Is Sengun faster than his peers to where he can use it as a weapon?" and the answer on most matchups is "No".

Now, let's talk about the "bigger" part as it affects the paint. Ever wonder why Sengun misses quite a few of those post shots, especially against "bigger" defenders and has to chase down the offensive rebound? Because unlike Jokic, he lacks the superior size to bully them around. Because unlike Giannis, he lacks the superior vertical burst to just straight up rise over the defense or the superior speed to leave defenders behind with MINIMAL space. These traits translate to the difference of someone who converts in the paint in the mid to high 70s (Jokic, Embiid, Giannis) and Sengun (doesn't break the 70% mark).

To circle all the way around, Jokic is definitely skilled but it's his sheer size that makes him elite in the post. You can't just keep your hands up and stand your ground in front of him and wait for the inevitable baby hook or scoop since he can just bump you back or flat out away to create space. For the few bigger defenders, that's where his skill and footwork comes in. Sengun doesn't have that ability and will never have that ability. How far he goes is entirely dependent on if he can develop consistent range or raise his finesse to god-like levels.

When Sengun is Jokic age how much difference in weight will they be? From looking maybe 15 pounds and an inch shorter or am I off a bit?

No, because Sengun's post-ups are actually one of the more efficient possessions in the NBA.

Your little novel there about Jokic's weight doesn't change that.

Momster not happy with Silas either.

I think Tari and Alpi are already close.

    Game recognize game.

Sengun is one of those rare players that impacts a game. He is a high IQ player. It will only take a few games or less of watching him play for you to realize it.

He is being wasted on this team.

If I were him, I would be talking to my agent to get me out of here at the first opportunity.

Remember: The Rockets traded Christian Wood to finally force Silas to give Alpi minutes and develop him.

Silas' response? He starts Bruno freaking Fernando over Alpi. This is a passive aggressive move by the grinner.

Only because Bruno gets hurt does Alpi get minutes, and despite Silas marginalizing him every chance he gets, Alpi puts his head down, producing by far the best PER on the team, while cutting down on fouls.

Silas' response? He reduces his playing time and benches him in crunchtime, every game.

His blatant mistreatment of Alpi will be what will eventually get Silas fired. It may well be that it only happens in the offseason - but when we feel ready to start winning, Alpi and Tari will play a big role - and Silas will be gone.

Tilman will never fire a coach because it costs money to do that. Our coach looks like a volunteer from the Y, and literally everyone can see that.

Either Stone is an incredibly stupid GM who can't recognise his product is being hampered by poor coaching, or he's handcuffed by poor ownership. His management track record so far suggests the later.
