If you would’ve asked me who and what is this, then I would’ve said Ariza in either 2010 or 2018.

Silas is a tank commander, plain and simple. Once we have the roster set, we'll be offering 10% off Landry's discounts to coach candidates.

Maybe....just maybe...there's a reason why it took him 2 decades to land a coaching job.

Ted Lasso is not a coach; he’s a life mentor coach.

Why don’t y’all just start calling Silas a “wanker”, too?

Why would a veteran coach want to do a rebuild of a lottery team?

And then there is the fact that nepotism is what got his foot in the door to even have a NBA coaching career.

I don't really see another coach making this team much better. Too many players on the team need to figure out their role.

Seem like a job for a coach to figure out and implement.

With a young group like this, you need someone that can either give them structure or help them identify what role they are going to play on the court or, better yet, both. The Hawks were horrific under Pierce but thrived under a more experienced coach in McMillan because he provided more structure to that roster.

What stone needs to do is look at all the available best coaches in Europe or College that use a big man in the high Post in a motion offense like how we should use sengun.. and hire him

I say that because I think sengun is our face of the franchise and who we should build around not green

Silas rode the coattails of Rick carlise and Luka and curry and Kerr..

We were dooped in hiring this so called "offensive genius"

Even if we had a Luka or Curry I still would not want Silas because he doesn't preach defense whatsoever you can't win in this league without defense

I blame Tillman because he wanted to hire a black coach the top three candidates were Tyronn Lue John Lucas and Silas.. he wanted to Urbanize the Toyota Center and franchise so he hired the cheapest black man he could find

I have too much evidence to back this up so I blame tillman at the end of the day

and this is why you're supposed to hire the best person based on credentials not by race .. whether it's the real world or basketball world , but people don't do that

It also doesn't help to learn the NBA coaching gig when your dad has a career winning percentage below .500. In the 20 seasons he was an assistant coach, Stephen was a part of 11 different losing seasons. Like...how are you setting yourself up to be a successful coach when half of your career involves sitting on the bench witnessing bad teams?

It's far too early for each player's respective careers to tell if either is going to be the face of the franchise. Making a decision now based on predicting who will be would be highly premature.

NBA teams should only hire assistant coaches with winning pedigrees, like Kurt Rambis.

    Heat practice:

Duncan Robinson *puts the ball on the deck*
Spolestra *drops F-bombs* cusses Duncan in front of everyone.
    Jimmy: por qué? He hoopin'
Spolestra: That's not your role, Duncan, shoot the F'n 3.

Roles and structure. Guys shouldn't be lost out there. Get a role down, then down the road, do the improvise thing.

If it's about raising the floor on your team's chances to win in the NBA then, yes, hiring assistant coaches with winning pedigrees is probably a better idea than assistant coaches that sat through years of bad coaching.
