Hell yeah sign him and let him back up tmac. He can play good D too if he has a coach like JVG pushing him. I think its a great idea. Spree would not be a disruption on a JVG team because he respects Van Gundy.

I say lets get him. That would really toughen up our team and backcourt once Sura gets back.

I've never seen Spree be much of a distraction on the court or a JVG coached team anyway. I don't think it could really hurt.

That's enough for me to sign him hahahha......Seriously though I think we should sign him cuz Wesley is not even close to last yr....Just waive Moochie or Glover.....We still can trade the rights to Moochies contract by the deadline.....Tmac may have nites where his back may bother him ( I think ish bc he put on extra muscle weight over the off season) and Spree and DA can take over......I think we are missing one more constant scorer evident from the Hornets game.....

JVG coached Spree b4 and he made Spree betta....Remember the finals against the Spurs.....He was the main man....But he is 35yr old now, but he can still avg 12-14 pts and D-up on some young fellas.....Defense is about will and smarts....

Moochie, Glover, or Spree.....Come on no brainer.....

A very cost effective move if it happens.

Ok I'm now officially the devil's advocate. After this ugly loss I really believe that Spree would be just a tad better than, say...

Ryan Bowen at the starting 3?

OK I'm on board. We need someone who can light a fire under this team. Tmac's out, and even when he comes back, he leads by example. Our guy last year was Sura, and we won't see him for a long time. We need Spree's intensity.. unfortunately :(

I think it is a good idea, he would come in on a 1 year vet min contract, all we can offer.

Spree may be an idiot off the court, but he is an excellent all around team player, and steps up in the playoffs.

Spree not only would be invaluable when Tmac is out, but allow Tmac to stay much fresher by reducing his minutes and load. To win the championship we need a 100% Tmac for the playoffs--the most critical reason to try a Spree rental for a year.

I too am on board. I'd like to have spree, he's better than Wes. And with no TMAC, I actually support his signing.

Actually, according to the Rockets program - 10 day contracts can't be signed until January 5, 2006 or the next business day.

Man, it's hard not to at least consider it, after seeing our obvious hole behind McGrady. (shudder! Spree?? ) I don't know... we could be overreacting to a couple of bad losses.

I support signing Sprewell. Why not? The guy has got to be better than Bowen.
