We could sign god but god has no recorded history in the NBA thus not an NBA vet therefor MDA would not give him playing time.

I’d rather just take Jordan Bell from Minny.

But Woot is free, no picks needed. And Wooten has the better work ethic and hustle, Bell is a bit of a flake.

Not true at all. If there was any conflict between JVG and Francis it was the latter's reluctance to push the pace.

There's articles in the archives all about this, and I don't feel like looking it up, but if there's one image that sticks out from that era it's JVG frantically waving his arms as the guards trotted towards the half court line.

Stromile Swift's problem wasn't Jeff Van Gundy. Or Hubie Brown. Or Mike Fratello ( a notoriously plodding coach, under whom he experienced his theoretical zenith)

    It was Stromile Swift

He would have been a stud in pace and space system where all he had to do was roll to rim, sit at dunker spot for alley oops and clean up the garbage.

Some players need simple and defined roles. See Clint Capela.

Unreal athleticism. There's something there, but outside of that this guy may not even be able to make an outlet pass. Not saying he can't, but just very little highlights except extreme leaping ability. I'll admit, I'm intrigued.

All those players that are driving into the paint against him look like they're in slow motion compared to NBA level players. Oh, right it's the G-league.

6'10 Ray Spalding (7'5 wingspan) has been a double double machine for the Vipers. Very good switch defender and getting a lot of steals too. Much more skilled offensively than Wooten, can put ball on floor and is developing 3 ball.

I would sign both Wooten and Spalding to 10 days, their games are very complementary.

    Sign Wooten (and Spalding) today!!!

Rest Clint, rest Tuck, trade Tyson. Start Harty with these 2 crazy athletes as backups.

    Trade SRP for Bruno too.

It wasn’t just that he lacked love for the game... he was the dumbest player in the league for a decade. He was very mentally slow. JVG was shocked. He used to scream at him for being out of position... he tried practicing with him and he eventually accepted that Swift was mentally not capable.

It is too bad because physically he was a more athletic and physically gifted version of Antonio McDyess.
