Whoever brought up that he quit on our team.. THAT WAS 2 YEARS AGO!!!! Wow.

He was actually doing pretty good for us before Bobby Jackson.. Hell I would have kept him instead of Jackson if I had the option.

co-sign. id take him back for bjax if i had the choice, he was our team's 6th man and he was averaging 10+ points off the bench. id rather have him over both head and novak

Thread title says for the minimum but yet some people act like we are using the full MLE for him. He wasn't that bad to the point we couldn't use him if we signed him for the minimum.

If Wells could get back to shooting 75% from the FT line and stop shooting jumpers he would be great to have. He seems to get to the line a bunch but just didn't shoot FTs at a good percentage last year. I would try Mo Evans first but if that didn't work out I would take Wells. If there's still MLE money on the table after Landry, I'd definitely take Bonzi over nothing.

Also I don't know why we're talking about Darius Miles but he does deserve an Emmy for his work on The Wire, IMO.

Bonzi at his best could put up 18 points and get 8 rebounds. The problem with him was that he was very inconsistent. You could tell some nights when he didn't work as hard as he could've. But he did give us something that this team lacked, which was someone who could attack the basket. For the min, we can bring him back.

the Bonzi trade helped us a lot by getting rid of the Mike James/Juwan Howard. It's a shame he can't get a big contract as he wished. He must been regretting all day long that he rejected the contract offer back in his Sacramento days.

    A++,
and it doesnt matter if Bonzi quit on the team 2 years ago or last week, that shows you what kinda guy he is, he can go ride the hornets bench for the rest of his life, as long as he never comes back here.

bonzi was owning the 2/3 spot when mcgrady went down. i am 100% behind bringing him back. he's the reason the hornets beat us in a pretty tight game this season.(putting up 25 points) then helping the hornets beat the C's by putting up 12 points with 8 steals!! the fact that he can make such an impact once in a while off the bench is worth signing him. plus there is chemistry with the team and coach RA. think of it

    Alston/Brooks/BJ or SF
    TM/Barry/Harris
    SB/Bonzi/Greene
    LS/Landry/ hayes
    Yao/Dorsey/Deke

and thats just what the official roster might look like when actually bonzi can play a 2 also and harris will more likely be a 3, and this is all pre-minor trade that i feel could involve novak head or maybe bj in someway :p

The poll should have asked: Will Bonzi Go To Training Camp and Make an Opening Day Roster?

That's the real question. I would vote no.

How could you forget about Darius Miles's epic performance in The Perfect Score alongside Scarlett Johansson and the Human Torch?

On a more serious note, I would definitely take Bonzi back for the vet. min...Houston's bench is mostly full of old men and unproven youngsters. Bonzi playing about 17 mins a game would be a good thing in my opinion.

He went manic depressive with his first pay cut. If the min is the best he can settle for I don't want him near the Rockets.
