Sooner, I can't help but thik you have a bit of a bias towards Najera. Am I correct ? Face it, he's not gonna be an all star and Aaron Mcghee will not be a lotto pick. Not everyone who goes to OU becomes a star.

Cuttino was a second round pick and he was very good as a rookie. I would expect someone from OU to top that.

But, to your credit, you did have Collier going #11, so you knew something we didn't know. But, you also had Madsen going #4, Pete Mickael and Harold Arcenauex in round one.

But, to your credit, those were early predictions. Popeye had AJ Guyton going before #27.

I don't know anything about Atlanta's cap space, but I'm guessing if they really wanted Shandon, they wouldn't have to trade their #3 pick for him. They could probably find an easier way to sign him.

Alright SooneRockStro, we apparently can't communicate with each other, so I'll move on. You stated,

Instead of being the usual wiseass and saying "Langhi was placed in the role of benchwarmer and he played the role well" [IMG], I'll ask you : What role did Langhi get placed in and tell me how he played that role well?

What exactly was his "role" on this team? My opinion is he had no role to speak of. I'm willing to be educated... so tell me.

P.S. -- I never stated Langhi or Najera wouldn't be good players.

It's all about minutes and shot attempts if you want to be known as a good player in the NBA.

Their rolls were mop-up duty. And they both came in during mop up time and did well.

My arguement isn't really towards Najera or Langhi persay, it's the arguement that 11th or 12th guys in the NBA automatically must suck. That's what got me riled up. Just because you are an 11th or 12th guy doesn't mean you aren't a decent player. Like I said, Moochie wasn't even an 11th or 12th guy in the NBA 2 years ago and look at him now. He just had to wait his turn. Yes there are Jack Haley's out there. What can you expect out of 11th or 12th guys on the bench. Anything from them is a bonus and especially 2nd round draft picks. Yes Cuttino is a star, but how often do guys like him or Van Exel come out of the 2nd round. I'm not saying Najera or Langhi will be all-stars, most likely they wont, but I am saying they played decently for the roles they were placed in. And next year I fully expect both guys to get more time and show even more.

Obviously, if guys are in the NBA, they don't suck.

I guess it depends on your perspective, and who you're comparing them with.

Compared to Dream? Yeah, Langhi sucks [IMG]

    Great point.

You can't protect a player's current worth, by his potential.

    Potential is just that, potential.

And, like dod said, they both have potential, not to be confused with current worth to the team.
