    I saw Yao on thurs. at the airport.. but besides that .. Las Vegas All-Star > Houston All-Star

    YMM showed a photo of the Reebok shoe Yao Ming would have worn during the All-Star game if he hadn’t been injured. The photo was from the courtesy of some poster by the name of Joe at Complex.com.

    I love how Yao is focused on basketball and couldn't give a darn about partying and seeing Vegas. I think that is awesome dedication!

    Luther Head scored 15 points (6/9 FG% 3/4 3-pointer%)/2 rebounds/4 assists at the Rookies vs Sophomores Challenge....... He even had a few of rare dunks !!!

    But the star and MVP of the Rookies vs Sophomore has to be this guy............

    David Lee of the New York Knicks.

    30 points (14/14 FG% 2/2 FT%), 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 block shots........and dunks after dunks after dunks.

    Photographic evidence of Yao's size.

    The arm span poster shows Yao's finger tips on both hands extending to the 7-6 (2.29m) mark, meaning his wingspan is at least 7-6 (2.29m).

    Considering his arms aren't even straight, his wingspan is probably more like 7-7 or 7-8 since both arms could straighten out more.

    So much for all the old China measurements (like the supposed legit draft one) and all the "Yao has short arms" nonsense. Yeah sure he has a 7-3 or even 7-5 wingspan, by that pic his wingspan may be the biggest in the NBA.

    His wingspan is clearly huge in that measurement.

    Also the pic of him with the Pepsi bottles next to him.

    They are 13 inches tall, there are 7 in the pic.

    13 times 7 = 91 inches

    91 inches = 7-7 or 2.31 m

    the top of the last bottle is level to the middle of Yao's hair, which would be exactly where the top of his skull is.

    Subtract an inch and a half for shoes

    You get 7-5 1/2, or 2.27m

    Now factor in that he isn't completely standing upright and his feet are a bit upart and you get roughly 1/4 an inch to half an inch more in height.

    Yao is definitely 7-5 3/4 (2.28m) tall barefoot at least and more likely 7-6 (2.29m) barefoot, not 7-5 with shoes on as most contend or 7-6 with shoes on as some contend.

    That shoes he is more like 7-7 1/4 to 7-7 1/2 with shoes on.
    The man is significantly larger than I even realized.

    Yao Ming himself said it before.................. his wing span is shorter than his height. 2.21M versus 2.26M.

    You sounded like some Yao Ming extremist that I knew before, who got banned from YMM, who was so fond of arguing exactly how tall Yao Ming is or how long his wing span is.

    It is Ming_7_6 whom recently got banned (again) from RealGM. I don't know why he's back here on Clutchfans, that's a big mistake.
