This event was cool. There were free hot dogs, nachos, cokes, and water. It was funny, I took a picture with Yao and shake his hand....He is huge. I go up to his stomach man!!! I saw Dave2000, the offical Rockets Power Dancer stalker. He got himself a RPD poster. Anyways, I saw these two guys taking pics with these huge cameras and actully took a picture with the same powerdancers as this little girl right afterwords (shown below). My little brother played airhockey against JL3 and lost; 4 times. He said he saw Novak, Battier, Dave2000 took a pic with Mutumbo, Snyder made a quick appearance. It was cool, my bro had a hell of a time; got to shoot on the court and see some bball lessons. T-mac was MIA. Thought that was kinda crappy.

Reporter Wang Meng in Los angeles

The challenge is in front of him, but on hte night of defeating the Lakers, the Rockets didn't fly back to Houston. On the coast of the Pacific CAlifornia, the entire team was happy (Yao Ming gives the team hot pot dinner)

The nextz day, the team sets off. While waiting at the airport for the company plane, laughter ensues. Yao sits there, Alston sitting next to him twisting aroudn, singing in a lound voice. The victory had just ended, and another game awaits. Last night Kobe's 53 points still resides in Yao's heart.

Titan: Thinking of yesterday's Kobe, do you still have any thought?

Yao: He was under a spell....definitely under a spell, I've never seen it before, one player can reach such a high standard. Kobe Bryant..........the demon (translator note: playing too much World of Warcraft).

Titan: Most of his shots came from highly difficult turnaround jump shots, especially on the turnaround J in front of you. Did you feel that you were desperate to contest it?

Yao: My defense area had already reached the three point line, I couldn't go on further, if I took one more step, he will accelerate and go to the hoop. At that time I could only gamble, he couldn't make such a difficul shot.....but in reality, I think he made it. Battier was defending with his life, 拼啦,他從我眼前拔起來“嘩”的扔出去,我回頭一看……靠. A few times I looked eye to eye with Battier, How can that go in? I was always thinking to myself: illusion, illusion, continue defending. Next time, the ball goes in again.

Titan: Talk about the last second 3 pointer that forced overtime.

Yao: We temporary covered the others, only letting Brown get the ball, the moment he got it I fouled him, knowing that he couldn't make free throws. In the end he missed both, but the first one he didn't make, the ball went a long way and I shouted: Be careful of the long rebound! I haven't ifnished adn the ball went to the left. Our players didn't block out Bryant, didn't secure the rebound, just looked at him fly up and......ah......

Titan: But this time, you managed to take the game. Last time Kobe scored 53, you were the ones who lost.

Yao: Because that time it was only me, this time there was McGrady, and other people's energy. In the final minute when we were down by 4 points, McGrady went 3-3, I got 2, turned the tables over. The big guy (Battier) trapped him (Bryant) in a small corner, focring the turnover. But in reality, he was too amazing, I respect, very much so. He has reached another level. In the entire game he hoisted 44 shots, if I were to do that in a game, I would be tired long before.

Titan: Have you ever thought that Kobe would reach this standard?

Yao: I fel that he was a person who challenged himself. You could see his shooting style, vitrually each shot is the same, as if crafted with a chisel like, one glance and you'll know that he put in a lot of effort into it. And also his body can feel such a powerful thirst for the win and control, I'm afraid it's because of that, he is what he is now.

Titan: Let's change the topic. Now the gap is only 1/2 game, if you win tomorrow, then the entire thing can be reversed.

Yao: Tomorrow will be hard. You look at our team's website, the cover says, tomorrow everybody who watched must wear red. You think, the entire stadium is a sea of red in a regular season game, what will it be in the playoffs? We must use the home court to smother them in red.

Titan: The fact that they had just lost in New Orleans, what effect do you think it will have on them?

Yao: We'll be letting them taste the Texas Triangle strenght. Every heard it's about the Texas Triangle, now it's stronger then ever. The last time I heard, the entire regular season has two teams that has to come to Texas for three games, in the end they lost all three. The other teams have to face the Texan teams twice, if they can win on, then it will be celebratory worthy. The West is truly amazing. I look at the wins-loss column, the East 34-38 team are still in the top 8, while in the West they'll be bashed on the head, especially in Texas.

Titan: When on the plane will you study their tactics?

Yao: On the plane I need to watch something else.......I brought the CBA finals game 4 on DVD, finished game 3, haven't seen game 4,5 yet. I want to see how they won. As to the tactics, when we are in Houston, we'll discuss it in the afternoon, get to know them a bit better.
