hey lassie, I'm pretty sure the Mitchell report named a tiny, tiny portion of the cheaters considering only two trainers spoke Cami-Gonzo-Bagwell-Clemens-Pettitte are just a few of the pretty big names we either knew cheated or it's pretty clear they did
Every player in MLB has "cheated" at one point in time or another. Even Berkman admitted doing so. What's your point?
I believe the only guy currently on the roster at the time it was released, other than Tejada, was Randolph. IIRC. But I could be wrong. OOOOHHHHHHH, my bad. I missed where we're supposed to make the leap from what's documented to the surmise and conjecture you've pulled from your ass.
Cami, Clemens and Pettitte are proven cheaters Bagwell, Gonzo and Finley are not guilty like OJ is not guilty
I'm thinkin...no Not only the media circus, but his indictment, could very well be a distraction for the team. His offensive skills have diminished a little...sure he'd be an upgrade...but then you'd have to ask yourself if his offensive abilities outweigh the offensive and defensive abilities of the man he'd replace (presumably Bourn). I don't think they do, at this point in his career. Then of course factor the liability he brings on defense (added with Carlos Lee in the other corner) and the fact that he's not gonna be able to play a whole season and will command a pretty big contract, I think it's clear that the Astros could spend their money better elsewhere. Besides...I'd like to actually root for the team...having Bonds would make it hard to do so.
Clemens and Pettite cheated on other teams...not the Astros (and nothing is proven of Clemens, yet) Bagwell, to my knowledge, only used Andro...which was legal and not banned at the time I believe.
We've already discussed this flatulence ad nauseum. Yet here you are blowing it twice again. Someone get a can of Oust.
it's a fair point to say Bonds is so bad in the field that it might be a wash but I disagree his oba is over 500 in recent years that is just stupid
Oh, come on man, go all out! Post the pictures of Bagwell at age 22 and Bagwell at age 36 again for us! Insult everyone's intelligence who doesn't believe you can dogmatically prove something from pictures on the Internet and HR numbers that do *not* show the unusual spike in production that your average juicer had. Go for it! Let's have this diarrhea all over this thread, the whole Bonds idea was that stupid in the first place so we might as well.
good point you never know with those players look at Colon, he sighed that big deal than said he lied about his age
Well I don't want to say anymore because Bagwell is a hero to some on this board but I don't see how anyone could think with the culture of baseball (Canceco saying at one point 85% of the players were on roids) during the 90s that a star player who got jacked up like crazy over a short time.
yes. there were no good homerun hitters in the 90's. they were ALL fake. it was the only era in baseball with no REAL power hitters.
