What coaches are those? I guess Popovich. Who else is in this 'Hall of Fame' lineup? Avery Johnson? D'antoni? Huh?
The writer was talking about Adelman getting 'outschemed' in the playoffs after a great regular season, presumably by one of these supposed 'Hall of Fame' coaches in the West; Sloan's history is more of good regular seasons with little to show for it.
What's worse is that Adelman outschemed Phil Jackson through most of that 2002 series. If it weren't for some absolutely Donaghy-esque foul calls in game 6 and Chris Webber & co. choking away game 7 by missing all their freethrows, Sacramento wins the championship. (oh and don't forget Robert Horry's last second shot in game 4)
Here's another bid of Rockets analysis... or rather former Rocket analysis: http://www.thebasketballjones.net/2007/08/07/because-of-you/
Way too many rookies on this board it is hard to flame everyone equally. He is lucky he got off with a slap on the wrist. Hey rook, don't pull crap like that again or we might just flame you that hard.
I actually prefer it when people post the articles. Here are the reasons why: 1. Sometimes, I'm just too lazy to click the link. 2. Sometimes the link doesn't work. 3. Sometimes the link no longer exists. Sites only keep up articles for a certain time and remove them after a while. Clutch BBS is sometimes the only place where you can find old articles, especially when someone was nice enough to paste the article. As far as the article on Vspan being a quitter, I think the writer is wrong.......Vspan did eventually become a version of George Michael. No dis to George Michael. I do not know why that writer had to dis the entire Greek culture, though. Greek's aren't quitters. Vspan is. I've never heard of such a sterotype. Why would a Greek writer insult his own culture?
