After all the times its worked, do you even have to ask? Hell... even SI admits there is a jinx (most recently, referecencing how they put the Cubs and Red Sox on separate covers right before the LCS'). Of course, it could also be a probability thing... where SI normally shows a team or player coming off an extreme high... where there probably isn't anywhere else for that team to go but down.
