"Now, whether I accomplish that, I don't know,'' he said, his strong right leg swinging from the side of the trainer's table. "But I'm going to bust my ass trying to get there.'' haha. TMAC is just not a winner or a hard worker. Always full of excuses. Cares more about his image than the team. He wants the glory but none of does not take responsibility. What a waste of natural talent. I have no hopes of him ever contributing significantly gain for the Rockets or any other team in the NBA.
1. He threw Yao under the bus 2. He threw T-mac in Houston under the bus 3. I'd take Paul Pierce over him cause Pierce never b****ed or called his team average even when Boston stunk
He sounded like he's ready to leave the Rockets and join a Champion-caliber team like Celtics as a role player. Essentially, he wants to be an opportunist like KG instead of trying hard and winning a Champion with his own efforts despite of mediocre teammates (which is actually not true).
I'm sorry, but an average team + TMac does not get HCA in the West last year. An average team + TMac does not get 50+ wins in a hyper competitive West. That's a sorry excuse. Game 7 against Utah ... TMac plays fantastic basketball ... we have a five point lead because TMac has been driving all game ... then the old TMac 18 foot jump shooter shows up and we lose the lead and the game. We can't blame the whole game on TMac (grabbing a defensive rebound would have helped in that game), but he just isn't as relentless as many of the winners who do advance.
And in this economy, where so many teams are hurting financially, it's going to be worth a lot - a whole a lot. Assuming the Rockets just don't let it expire, so they gain more cap flexibility.
For someone who's been a major star for so long, TMac is incredibly non-savvy when it comes to the media. Kobe rarely sticks his foot in his mouth, and when he says something controversial, he does so for a reason. TMac is nearly clueless and thinks that saying the first thing that pops into his mind during interviews makes him "honest." Then again, he's not nearly as rapey as Kobe is.
Unlike others, I am not bothered by what he says. But the question is: Why hasn't he rehabbed himself before the season, knowing that this is the best team, most talent he has, and the best chance he has to get to where he wants to be? I mean, you can say the knee is still weak, but that doesn't excuse you being chubby and out of condition. That's where Tmac needs to look into the mirror.
Good point, if you build your team around a sissy drama queen, you will always be an "average" team. We are an above "average" team even with 20M salary disavantages to other teams. Can this guy be classy just for once? Show some respects to your FORMER teammates, coaches, and fans. Last night the reporter tried to trick Yao by asking what's the big difference between the current team and the team two weeks ago?
QUESTION: Look at the AI team that went to the Finals . . .could McGrady have taken them to the Finals? What about the Celtic Team with Paul Peirce and Antoine Walker? Personally I don't think so I remember BEGGING to trade him for Paul Peirce for like 3 years before Garnett got there. . . .folx called me crazy Rocket River
My guess is Tmac was so confident after last year's finish and getting Artest, that he could slack off until the all-star break. He looked totally unprepared to play from the start.
I think according to T-Mac *HE* won 22 in a row. . . those other guys were just there for the ride Rocket River
funny how Tmac brings up the big 3... in Boston... thinking its the names that matter... in reality it was Bostons defense that won it for them last year... if Tmac played both ends like he does on offense... he would have at least made it out of the first round...
